A Big Problem for a Big Animal
① In early 2026, scientists in Norway made a surprising finding. The sea ice in the Arctic was melting, but polar bears there were gaining weight (体重). How could that happen
② For many years, scientists worried that global warming would make polar bears go hungry. Polar bears need sea ice to hunt seals (海豹). With less sea ice, they have to swim longer and spend more time on land. That is bad news.
③ But a new study of nearly 800 polar bears from 1992 to 2019 showed something different. In Svalbard, Norway, the bears were getting fatter, not thinner. “I was very surprised,” said one scientist.
④ Why Scientists think the bears are learning to adapt (适应). With less ice, seals are also pushed into smaller areas. This makes it easier for polar bears to catch them. Also, some polar bears now hunt other animals like reindeer (驯鹿) on land.
⑤ However, scientists still worry. “This could be short-term,” they said. “If sea ice keeps melting, the bears may still be in danger.”
⑥ Young people around the world are taking action. Many schools teach about climate change. Some students turn off lights to save energy. Others join programs like the Green Long March to protect nature.
56. How does the writer begin the passage
A.By telling a personal story. B.By giving an example.
C.By asking a question. D.By listing numbers.

A.To keep cool in summer. B.To rest after swimming.
C.To hunt for seals. D.To escape from (逃脱) other animals.
58. Which chart matches the information in the passage
59. What can we learn from the passage
A.Scientists are sure polar bears will be safe.
B.Young people do not care about climate change.
C.All polar bears around the world are getting fatter.
D.Polar bears in Norway have found ways to adapt.

Team Communication Lessons from Shenzhou-19
In October 2024, the Shenzhou-19 astronauts went to space. Their mission(任务) was a great success. How did they work so well in such a hard environment The secret is good communication. Here are some tips we can learn from them.
First, speak clearly. The astronauts use short and simple words. For example, they say “Check the power” instead of a long sentence. This helps everyone understand quickly and avoid mistakes.
Second, do active listening. When a teammate gives an order, the others repeat(重复) it to make sure they heard correctly. For example, if the leader says “Close the door,” you say “Got it. Close the door.” This shows you are listening.
Third, give helpful feedback(反馈). After a task, the astronauts talk about what went well and what can be better. They do not blame(责备) anyone. They say “Next time, we can try this way” instead of “You did it wrong.”
Fourth, ask for help. Even the best astronauts ask for help when they are not sure. They say “Can you check my work ” or “Could you explain that again ” This is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of a good teammate.
Good communication takes practice. Start using these tips today and your team will work better—just like the Shenzhou-19 team.
