When he was 13, people near Nairobi National Park were troubled by lions. The lions came out of the park because large parts of it had no fences. They ate farmers’ cows at night. To protect their cows, farmers used scarecrows and tried to stay awake, but nothing worked. Richard was inspired by a light. He noticed that lions did not come near when he walked with a flashlight. So he made a system of blinking lights. He called it the Lion Lights. After he put them around the cowshed, the lions stayed away. His invention saved both cows and lions. Now his Lion Lights are used all over the world. Richard showed that young people can solve big problems. I admire his creativity and courage. He is a true hero. I hope to be like him one day. I will look for problems around me and try to solve them. That's what young inventors do. They change the world with simple ideas. So let’s think and create. Maybe you can be the next Richard Turere. Believe in yourself. Start small, think big. That’s the power of youth. I am proud of him. And I am proud to be a teenager too. We can make a difference. Yes, we can. So let’s go for it. The world needs us. Let’s shine like the Lion Lights. Together, we can protect our future. That’s my dream. That’s my goal. I will never give up. I will keep trying. Because I believe in me. And I believe in you. Let’s do it! 展开更多...... 收起↑ 资源预览
