Have you been to Xi'an Do you know any distinctive local delicacies or scenic spots in Xi'an
Read Richard's email to his friend and the brochure that he found. Do you think his plan sounds interesting Why
Pre-writing
Yes, it sounds quite interesting. The Terracotta Army is a national treasure and one of the largest and most important archaeological finds in the world.
No, I don't think his travel plan sounds interesting. It only covers historical sites without natural scenery or local snacks, and the tight schedule leaves no time for rest. Besides, it fails to include nearby attractions like Huashan Mountain, making the trip lack variety.
Read for structure.

Pre-writing
Think and share.
TWO
Pre-writing
First, more than 8,000 clay statues were made in the third century BCE to guard Emperor Qin Shihuang's tomb, and every statue has a unique face modeled on real ancient soldiers. Second, over 700,000 workers spent nearly 40 years building the huge tomb, which still hasn't been fully unearthed. Most surprisingly, modern people knew nothing of the army until 1974, when farmers accidentally found them while digging a well.
What surprising facts about the Terracotta Army can we learn from the brochure
Use the tables above to help you write a travel plan. Then follow the steps below.

Dear Richard,
My time in England is going wonderfully! My new school is amazing, and all the teachers and classmates are so friendly. Over the Christmas holiday, my parents and I are going up to London to see the Tower of London. This is the old castle that the king used to live in. Later, it was used as a prison for people who angered the king. It's also where the marvellous Crown Jewels are located. I just can't wait to see it. It has such an incredible history and there are so many amazing stories connected with it.

While-writing
We're also planning on seeing Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the Millennium Bridge while we are there, and of course we're going to ride on the London Eye! I think my mother is mostly interested in the shopping, however, so we will also stop by Regent Street.
We plan on taking a train up, which should only take an hour and a half. Since we are staying for a week, we plan on just stretching our legs a little after we arrive and then hitting the sights the next day.
Well, I guess that's about it for now. I'll buy you a souvenir from the Tower shop. Talk later!
Your friend,
Xiao Li
