Two years ago, Li learned that millions of plastic bottles end up in the ocean every year, harming sea animals. She decided to do something. Li also started a “Plastic Challenge” activity in her school. Students bring used bottles, and she shows them how to turn the bottles into creative gifts. Her teacher, Mr. Chen, said, “Li Zihan is not just a student — she is a real environmental warrior.”

Need to move really huge and heavy goods across the ocean The Airbus Beluga (空客大白鲸) is undoubtedly your best choice. It is a one-of-a-kind large transport plane, and it gets its lovely name simply because its special shape looks exactly like a real beluga whale.
The Beluga is surprisingly powerful in carrying huge objects. It can carry goods up to 39 meters long, 7 meters high and 40,000 kilograms in weight. That is almost as heavy as 4 large elephants or 18 small cars. Amazingly, it is even able to carry a huge plane wing that ordinary planes can never transport.
People regard it as one of the world’s strangest-looking planes. Its cockpit (驾驶舱) is no different from common planes, but a huge round “forehead” above it makes it just like a beluga whale. Newer models are specially painted with eyes and a mouth to look more lively and similar to the real whale. Besides, pilots have to receive strict professional training, because it is really hard to fly the Beluga safely on windy days.
Now there are five old BelugaST planes, which are nearly 30 years old. In 2022, Airbus set up its own airline to manage these old planes and introduced a new model called the BelugaXL. The airline completed its first international delivery (运输) in March 2024, successfully sending a satellite from France to Florida.
The older BelugaSTs have a short flight range. They can only fly 1,650 kilometers non-stop and have to stop many times to refuel (补充燃料) on long trips. However, the latest BelugaXL can fly 4,000 kilometers at a time, greatly improving long-distance transport ability.
42.Why is the plane named Beluga
A. It can carry sea animals. B. It can fly over the ocean.
C. It looks like a beluga whale. D. It is as big as a real beluga.
43.How does the writer describe the Beluga’s power in Paragraph 2
A. By listing numbers. B. By telling stories.
C. By asking questions. D. By making advertisements.
44.What problem do old BelugaSTs have
A. They are too old to fly.
B. They can’t carry plane wings.
C. They can’t fly in windy weather.
D. They are unable to fly long distances.
45.What is the best title for the text
A. The History of Airbus Airlines
B. The Achievement of the Airbus Beluga
C. The Airbus Beluga: A “Whale” of a Plane
D. The Beluga Ship: A Whale Travelling Through the Sea
