Learn to Understand Your Siblings
Lisa is a Grade Eight girl who often argued with her little brother Leo at home. She loved collecting model planes in her free time, but Leo always took her models without asking and broke them carelessly. They shouted at each other almost every day and refused to listen to one another’s feelings.

Lisa followed this useful advice. One evening, she sat beside Leo and slowly talked about her sadness. She also promised to set aside special playtime for him every weekend.
Leo felt sorry and said he would never touch her models without permission. Later, the two kids gave away their broken old toys to clean up more space on the shelf for plane models. Lisa finally learned an important truth: good family relationships come from patience and understanding, not cold silence.

Protect Rare Crested Ibises

Fifty years ago, many rivers were polluted and lots of trees were cut down. People caught ibises illegally for their beautiful feathers, so the number of crested ibises dropped sharply. They were nearly lost from our country.
Now our government builds large wetland reserves specially for crested ibises. Every year, hundreds of teenagers try out wildlife volunteer teams to join protection work. Volunteers fix up broken warning signs along rivers and give away free picture leaflets to tourists, telling everyone not to disturb or hurt these rare birds.
We must not put off wildlife protection work any longer. If every student takes small protective actions, the number of crested ibises will keep growing year by year. These gentle pink birds will fly freely above mountain wetlands for hundreds of years.
