When we think of astronauts, we often imagine them wearing white spacesuits, floating(漂浮) above Earth and looking at the stars. But recently, 28 Chinese astronauts did something surprising. Instead of flying into space, they went deep underground into dark, cold and wet caves in Chongqing.
This was China’s first large cave training for astronauts. They stayed there for six days and five nights. The goal was to prepare them for future space tasks, such as long stays on China’s space station and a planned trip to the Moon before 2030.
The training took place in Wulong, Chongqing, an area famous for natural caves. After studying many caves across China and carefully checking safety conditions for more than a year, experts chose this one as the best training place. Caves are useful for training because they are dark, cold, quiet, and much like space. Inside the cave, the temperature was only about 8°C, and the air was very wet. There was no sunlight, and astronauts could not easily get in touch with people outside. They had to work in teams, use headlamps, and plan carefully.
Each day, astronauts explored unknown roads, climbed rocks with ropes, and walked through underground rivers. They also collected rock samples(样本) and tested communication tools. In emergency conditions, they practiced helping injured teammates. Unlike some other countries, China’s training focused on independence(独立性). Astronauts had to solve problems by themselves, just like they would on the Moon, far from Earth. This is important because on the Moon—380,000 kilometers from Earth— help will not arrive quickly.
This training helps astronauts learn how to stay strong, calm, and hopeful in difficult environments. As one astronaut said, “exploring caves and exploring space are both about exploring the unknown.”
56. What can we know from Paragraph 3
A.The cave was full of sunlight and dry air.
B.The temperature inside the cave was higher than 10°C.
C.Astronauts could easily connect with people outside the cave.
D.The cave was chosen after experts studied many caves for more than a year.
57. According to the passage, which of the following did the astronauts do during the cave training
①Collected rock samples. ②Practiced helping injured teammates.
③Received help from outside. ④Explored unknown roads.
A.①②③ B.①②④ C.①③④ D.①②③④
58. What can we infer from the passage
A.It is the world’s first cave training program for astronauts.
B.China will not send astronauts to the Moon before 2030.
C.The training in caves is meaningful to astronauts.
D.Astronauts will test communication tools on the Moon.
59. What is the main purpose of this passage
A.To persuade young people to explore caves in Chongqing.
B.To introduce a special training method for Chinese astronauts.
C.To explain why the Moon is a better place for training than caves.
D.To compare Chinese space programs with those of other countries.
60. Which is the right structure(结构) of the passage
D
Have you ever thought a tree might try to tell us something With AI, scientists are starting to unlock the secret world of plant communication.
People used to believe plants were silent and unable to “talk”. But now, scientists find that is not true. For example, when a plant is in danger, it can send special things into the air to warn its neighbors. Some plants can even feel insects eating them. Plants have their own secret ways of “talking”. They use smells and soft sounds that people cannot easily find.
This is why AI becomes very useful. Scientists study plants by listening for soft sounds and watching for shape changes. But there is too much information for people to process (处理). AI is just good at this work. For example, scientists can train AI to know the special sound of a tomato plant that needs water. AI can also learn the “stress sound” a tree makes when it is ill.
The future looks hopeful. Imagine AI helping farmers understand plant sounds. Then farmers will know when plants need water or when insects are harmful to them. This can help farmers use less water and fewer chemicals. Some scientists even want to make a “Plant Translator”. With it, we could know when a plant is happy with enough water, or when a forest is in danger because of dry weather.
Of course, this technology is still new. It is difficult to fully understand plant “language”. But the goal is not to talk with a flower. It is to learn to listen better to the natural world. By using AI to understand plants, we can care for our planet in a smarter and better way.
61. According to the text, how do some plants warn their neighbors
A.By changing their color. B.By moving their leaves quickly.
C.By making loud noises. D.By putting special matter into the air.
62. According to the passage, what may AI help farmers do in the future
A.Talk with plants. B.Water the plants properly.
C.Send information to plants. D.Know more about the weather.
63. Why is the new technology important
A.It teaches people to know about harmful insects.
B.It lets people stay away from dangerous plants.
C.It helps people care for the natural world better.
D.It makes people talk with different plants freely.
64. What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 4 refer to (指的是)
A.AI. B.Plant Translator. C.A plant. D.An insect.
65. What is the best title for the passage
A.The Problems of AI in Growing Plants.
B.The Use of AI in Understanding Plant Communication.
C.The Talks between Humans and Plants.
D.The Differences between Plants and Animals.

书面表达范文
Dear Henry,
How is everything going
Our school held a meaningful activity about traditional culture recently. We learned Puxian Opera and paper-cutting, and made traditional handworks. We also listened to speeches from inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.
I learned a lot from this activity. Traditional culture is our treasure. It’s our duty to pass it on and let more people know its beauty.
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua
