Surface & lower atmosphere warm, stratosphere cools — typical human-caused climate fingerprint, mechanism unclear. Columbia research finds CO2 works differently in stratosphere: absorb upward infrared heat and release to space, higher CO2 speeds cooling. Stratosphere cooled 2℃ since 1980s, far faster than natural rate. “Goldilocks zone” infrared wavelength helps CO2 release heat efficiently; more CO2 expands the zone, cooling stronger upper stratosphere. Cool stratosphere emits less infrared, lower total Earth heat loss, strengthens greenhouse effect near ground. Study provides solid climate evidence and reference for other planets.
28. Infer para1-2
A.Global warming stops stratosphere heating.
B.CO2 acts differently in different layers.
C.Stratosphere cooling unrelated to humans.
D.Scientists fully understand stratosphere long ago.
29. About Goldilocks zone

Traditional robots rely on separate heavy sensors, slow & delayed reaction. New smart muscle material inspired by human tendons: liquid metal channels inside flexible LCE, electricity heats it to shrink like muscle. Shape change alters metal channel resistance, machine senses movement/strength without external sensors. Lab robotic fingers hold fragile objects safely; paired opposite muscles judge object hardness via electric signals. Useful for humanoid robots & artificial limbs. Next task: improve cooling speed & miniaturize production.
32. Disadvantage of old robots
A.Complex power supply. B.High cost. C.Slow reaction. D.Hard material.
33. Why More importantly
A.Highlight sensing function. B.Introduce new material.
C.Explain heat generation. D.Compare human & robot tendons.

It was the last week of school when a heavy cloud fell over my friendship with Teena. We had always been the brightest students in our class, walking side by side like sisters. For the final exams, we revised (复习) tirelessly together, sharing notes until late at night. However, when the report cards were handed out, a shocking gap appeared: I scored excellent grades, while Teena received a surprisingly low mark.
The real blow came that evening. Teena called me, her voice thick with anger and tears. She blamed me for holding back my knowledge during our study hours. “You were dishonest!” she shouted, her sharp words echoing painfully in my ears. “A true friend wouldn’t secretly keep the best revision methods to herself!” Before I could defend myself, she hung up the phone.
In the days that followed, the silence between us was deafening. Sometimes I forgot that we were no longer talking and ended up calling her when I had something exciting to share, but she just ignored my calls. School became completely unbearable. Teena avoided my eyes in the hallway and sat as far away from me as possible. I deeply missed our post-school routines-buying sweet ice cream and snacks on our way to after-school classes, sharing silly jokes, and laughing together. The weight of the unresolved conflict dragged me down until I couldn’t bear it anymore.
On a cloudy Friday afternoon, I decided to face Teena and try to mend our broken friendship. I nervously approached her after school. She stopped and turned around, her face a mixture of surprise and cold doubt.
The air was tense, but I took a deep breath and began, “Teena, we’ve been friends for three years, and I can’t let a fight over grades ruin that.” She crossed her arms tightly, holding on to her remaining anger, and replied coldly, “Explain then, because I still can’t understand how you got such good grades when we studied together.”
注意:
(1)续写一段,词数应为 80 个左右;
(2)请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
Looking into her defensive eyes, I took a step closer.

Looking into her defensive eyes, I took a step closer. I explained sincerely that I never hid any learning methods from her. I only reviewed all knowledge every night after we studied together. I told her true friendship needed trust instead of suspicion. Hearing my words, Teena’s coldness faded. She apologized for her rude words. We made up and promised to study hard side by side again.
