一、一般过去时概念与使用场景
一般过去时用来描述过去某个时间点发生的动作、曾经存在的状态，或是过去反复、习惯性的行为；也能用来描述人物过去的性格、特点。句子里的谓语动词必须使用动词过去式。
1. Two weeks ago, Su Hai hoped to act as Mulan in the school drama.
两周前，苏海想要在校园话剧里扮演木兰。
2. Yesterday morning, Bobby and Sam found a new poster at school.
昨天早上，波比和萨姆在校内发现一张新海报。
拓展：常搭配过去类时间标志词
long ago（很久以前）、that morning（当天早上，已过去）、the day before yesterday（前天）、in old times（往昔）、before（从前）、at the age of + 数字（在……岁时）、that afternoon（当日下午，已过去）
1. 一般过去时陈述句句式
1）肯定句结构：主语 + 动词过去式 + 地点/时间状语
例：The girls played basketball on the playground just now.
刚才女孩们在操场上打篮球。
2）否定句分两类：
① 含be动词：主语 + was/were not + 其余成分
② 实义动词：主语 + didn’t + 动词原形 + 其余成分
例句：
My grandma wasn’t a nurse many years ago.
