The Power of “I’m Possible”
Officer Judy Hopps is not just the first rabbit police officer in Zootopia; she is a symbol of breaking barriers. When she first arrived at the Zootopia Police Department, no one took her seriously. Chief Bogo assigned her to parking duty, thinking a small rabbit couldn’t handle real police work. But Judy didn’t complain. She saw her duty as a chance to prove herself.
Her belief that “anyone can be anything” was tested when she took on the case of the missing mammals. The only clue was a suspicious fox, Nick Wilde. While others saw a dishonest trickster, Judy saw a potential partner. She didn’t avoid working with him because he was a fox. Instead, she used her smart mind and kind heart to win his trust. Together, they faced many dangers, from a secret lab to a savage polar bear. Judy never stopped trying, even when things seemed impossible.
Their success was not just about solving the case. It was about changing minds. Judy showed that size and species don’t define your ability. Nick proved that your past doesn’t have to control your future. Zootopia became a better place because one small rabbit dared to dream big and one sly fox learned to trust again. Their story teaches us that the biggest walls are often the ones we build in our minds, and with courage and friendship, we can break them down.

On August 11, 2024, the Paris Olympic Games ended. The Chinese team won 40 gold medals (金牌). This was the team’s best record in Olympic Games held outside the country. It has a far-reaching meaning.
On the one hand, a country’s sports success comes from its hard work and strength (力量). Many Chinese cities built sports fields in parks, neighborhoods and under overpasses (立交桥). People can easily find a place to do sports. Some villages also held sports games like soccer and basketball games. More and more people are interested in and good at sports. When a country can do well for its people in sports, it can usually do well for its people in many other things. For example, China makes sure its people are healthy, live well and can go to school.
On the other hand, there is something more to admire: China’s sports stars were young, but when they took part in sports events, they prepared well and became professional. They made wonderful record-breaking achievements. One great moment was when a 21-year-old tennis player named Zheng Qinwen won the first gold medal for China and Asia in women’s singles. The next day, the young Chinese swimming team also won a gold medal in a relay race (混合接力泳).
All in all, these sports stars didn’t just want to win gold medals. They were confident and had a good time both when they were playing and when they met new friends from different places. They enjoyed competing. On the Olympic stage, young people like them are always upholding (维护)the proud traditions of Chinese sports while showing a new image of a confident and open China.
