A past-tense question using 'did'

Answer: I/She/He went to [place].
Remember: Use past tense verbs (did, went, had) to talk about your summer holiday, and directional phrases to share where you visited!

A common Yes/No question
about past experiences, using the
auxiliary verb 'did'.
Answers: Yes, I/we did.

North (北)
Beijing, the capital of China, is in the north. It is famous for the Great Wall, a world-famous landmark that winds through the mountains.
South (南)
Sanya is a beautiful coastal city in the south of China. It has warm weather all year round, with golden beaches and clear blue seas.
Fun Fact: The northern part of China often has snowy winters, perfect for winter sports!
Fun Fact: The southern part of China is known for its tropical fruits like mangoes and coconuts!

Look at this picture! It's the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. Shanghai is a big city in the east of China.
West (西)
This is the Terracotta Army in Xi'an. Xi'an is an ancient capital city located in the west of China.
East is one of the four main directions. When you face the rising sun in the morning, you are facing east!
West is the opposite of east. When you face the setting sun in the evening, you are facing west!
