大多数由“原形动词+ed”构成,别有少数不规则变形,如speak→spoken。
过去分词的构成:  
1.过去分词词尾的规则变化  
1)词尾:一般情况:加ed  eg:work→worked(工作)
2)词尾:以不发音的e结尾:只加d  
eg:move→moved(移动)  note→noted(记下)  
3)词尾:重读闭音节、并是一个辅音字母结尾:先双写最后一个辅音字母,再加ed  eg:pat→patted(轻拍)  plan→planned(计划)  
4)词尾:以“辅音字母+y”结尾:先改y为i,再加ed  
eg:try→tried(尝试)  study→studied(学习)
3.过去分词的常用结构  
1)内部成分:基本型:原形动词+ed(不规则动词的过去分词)  
eg:worked (given)  
2)内部成分:前面带状语:副词+过去分词  eg:fully prepared
3)内部成分:后面带状语:过去分词+副词/介词词组  
eg:lost long ago  advanced in two aspects  
4)内部成分:带宾语(限能带双宾语的动词):过去分词+宾语  
eg:given another chance  
5) 内部成分:带逻辑主语:过去分词+by+逻辑主语  
eg:praised by parents  
6) 内部成分:否定式:not+过去分词  eg:not criticized
