My love of books comes from my mother. Because of her, our home is full of books on different subjects.
When I was a child, my mother used to sit me on her knee, tell me stories, and teach me how to read. Soon, I was reading by myself. Over time, I found children’s books no longer kept me interested. So I started reading other books, newspapers, and magazines. I especially enjoyed popular science books and books about the lives of famous people. After dinner, I would just pick a book from the shelf to read in my room. Reading opened up new worlds and allowed me to discover new things for myself. In general, I prefer print books, but sometimes I read e-books. I think that reading is great fun.
Now that I am older, I can always find time to read in the school library. I believe that reading has helped me a lot with my schoolwork and made me more confident about my future.
