Embracing AI Assistants Wisely
Recently, more classmates have turned to AI assistants for academic tasks. While
AI tools greatly improve efficiency and provide instant solutions, over-reliance on
them will weaken students’ ability to learn independently and deprive them of chances
to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
To make the most of AI’s strengths, I suggest using AI as a supplementary tool
rather than a full replacement. We should set clear learning goals before consulting AI.
{#{QQABDQCUogioAAAAAAhCQQlACECYkhEAAIoOAAAQIAIBwBFABAA=}#}
For instance, we ought to finish exercises on our own first and only use AI assistants
to check answers afterwards. Additionally, spare more time for self-study to
consolidate foundational knowledge and cultivate self-discipline.
Only by striking a balance between technological convenience and personal
efforts can we harness AI’s potential without slowing down our academic growth.
第二节(满分 25分)
Paragraph 1:
After sending the letter, I felt a heavy weight on my mind. Would he receive it
How would he respond I waited for his reply. Nervously opening up the mail each
day. Days later, his response arrived. I read the letter again and again, disbelief
washing over me. It wasn't the distant, silent dad I knew, but someone wise, tender,
approachable. I plucked up my courage and called him. We both fumbled for words
but couldn't find any. Finally a shaky "I love you" passed between us before we hung
up, both overwhelmed by the weight of the moment. His words had stirred a deep
desire for me to see him, to seek for the love that we had lost for so long.
Paragraph 2:
I visited my father soon after receiving his letter. My time with my father was
sweet and meaningful. We sat on the porch, the familiar scent of cut grass and old
wood filling the air.The awkwardness of the past seemed to melt away, replaced by a
shared history of laughter, tears and the unspoken design for connection. Though our
paths had been apart, they were now coming back together. It was a conversation
filled with a quiet understanding. It was a conversation filled with shared openness. It
was a conversation filled with unexpected warmth. Together we stepped forward on a
journey towards healing and forgiveness between a father and son.

Text 10
M: Hi, everyone. I want to share with you what it’s like being on a cooking
show. Many people think it’s easy, but actually it’s very stressful. I usually
arrive at the studio around 7 a.m. First, I meet with the producer and we go
through the script for the day. Then I go to the dressing room to change
{#{QQABDQCUogioAAAAAAhCQQlACECYkhEAAIoOAAAQIAIBwBFABAA=}#}
into my chef’s uniform. After that, the make-up artist makes sure I look good on
camera. This usually takes only about 15 minutes because I don’t wear much
make-up. We begin filming at around 9 a.m. But things don’t always go
smoothly. Sometimes the cameras don’t work or the sound is not clear, so
we have to wait. When everything is ready, I start cooking and talking to the
camera at the same time. It’s hard to do both. We usually finish by 5 p.m., but it
depends on how many mistakes we make. After filming, I take off my uniform,
say good bye to the team and go home to rest. It’s a long day, but I love
sharing my recipes with the audience.

In 1985, 20-year-old Yin Yuzhen from Shaanxi Province got married and moved with her
husband to the interior of the Maowusu Desert. The living conditions there were extremely tough.
Everything around her was either sand or something covered in sand. The wind blew sand into their
eyes, mouths, and nostrils, and after each storm, there was only silence. Yin and her husband were the
only people living in that lonely, empty land.
On the second day of her arrival, Yin resolved that she would not let the desert control her life.
Despite her inability to read or write and being totally green when it came to planting, she chose to
learn through practical experience. Over time, she figured out that the best way to fight the desert was
by planting trees. Her idea was to first grow grass to hold the sand, then plant bushes, and later trees.
At first, her efforts failed. Desert mice ate all the grass seeds. She tried planting them deeper, but
the mice still found them. She racked her brains and came up with a great idea. She took one of their
sheep and used its hoofprints (蹄印) to hide the seeds. The smell of the sheep disguised the seeds, and
the grass began to grow.
Yin didn’t stop there. She planted strong trees like poplars and Scotch pines along the outer
edges to block the wind and sand. In the middle, she planted smaller trees and bushes. Her dream was
to create a green “fortress” in the desert and grow fruits and crops in the protected center where they
lived.
Yin and her husband worked diligently for many years, showing remarkable perseverance. She
once said, “I’d rather die of tiredness from fighting the sand than be challenged by it.” In the end, her
hard work paid off. The desert that once seemed hopeless turned into a thriving green land.

Some parents will buy any high-tech toy if they think it will help their child, but researchers said
puzzles help children with math-related skills.
Psychologist Susan Levine, an expert on mathematics development in young children at the
University of Chicago, found children who play with puzzles between ages 2 and 4 later develop
better spatial (空间的) skills. Puzzle play was found to be a significant predictor of cognition(认知)
after controlling for differences in parents’ income, education and the amount of parent talk, Levine
said.
The researchers analyzed video recordings of 53 child-parent pairs during everyday activities at
home and found children who play with puzzles between 26 and 46 months of age have better spatial
skills when assessed at 54 months of age.
“The children who played with puzzles performed better than those who did not, on tasks that
assessed their ability to rotate(旋转)and translate shapes,” Levine said in a statement.
The parents were asked to interact with their children as they normally would, and about half of
children in the study played with puzzles at one time. Higher-income parents tended to have children
play with puzzles more frequently, and both boys and girls who played with puzzles had better spatial
skills. However, boys tended to play with more complex puzzles than girls, and the parents of boys
provided more spatial language and were more active during puzzle play than parents of girls. The
findings were published in the journal Developmental Science.
28. In which aspect do children benefit from puzzle play
A. Building confidence. B. Developing spatial skills.
C. Learning self-control. D. Gaining high-tech knowledge.
29. What did Levine take into consideration when designing her experiment?
A. Parents’ education. B. Children’s imagination.
C. Parents’ age. D. Child-parent relationship.
30. How do boy differ from girls in puzzle play
A. They play with puzzles more often.
B. They tend to talk less during the game.
C. They prefer to use more spatial language.
D. They are likely to play with tougher puzzles.
31. What is the text mainly about
A. A mathematical method. B. A scientific study.
C. A woman psychologist D. A teaching program.

The relationship between physical activity and cognitive health has long interested researchers,
who generally treated exercise as a single category. Yet not all forms of exercise appear to bring about
equal benefits. A landmark study conducted by scientists at Albert Einstein College of Medicine
offers convincing evidence that dancing may occupy a unique position in the ranking of
brain-protecting activities.
Between 1980 and 2001, the researchers tracked nearly 500 elderly residents of the Bronx,
monitoring their leisure activities and cognitive function over two decades. The findings, published in
第 4页,共 8页
{#{QQABDQCUogioAAAAAAhCQQlACECYkhEAAIoOAAAQIAIBwBFABAA=}#}
the New England Journal of Medicine, revealed a striking pattern: while cognitive activities like
reading and board games reduced dementia (痴呆) risk by approximately 7 percent per activity,
physical pursuits showed more varied outcomes. Swimming and cycling demonstrated modest
protective effects, but dancing emerged as the standout performer, with frequent participants showing
a 76 percent lower risk of developing dementia compared to those who rarely danced.
What distinguishes dancing from other forms of exercise The researchers suggest that its
superiority lies not in body movement alone, but in the combined cognitive demands it requires. A
dancer must process rhythm, recall order, navigate spatial relationships, and often move with a
partner — all while maintaining balance and posture. This continuous multitasking, the researchers
suggest, may create a more robust neural workout than repetitive aerobic(有氧的) activities like
walking.
Nevertheless, the study’s authors warn against overstating these findings. The data, they note,
indicate correlation rather than definitive cause, and the precise neurological mechanisms(神经机
制) remain unclear. Moreover, the study population was geographically concentrated, raising
questions about broader applicability.
Still, the implications are difficult to ignore. In an era where pharmaceutical(药物的)solutions
to cognitive decline remain hard to achieve, the prospect that something as accessible as dancing
might strengthen the aging brain carries undeniable appeal. Whether the waltz, the tango, or freestyle
movement, the message seems consistent: when it comes to preserving mental sharpness, engaging
both body and mind may be the most effective approach of all.
32.What does the author imply about previous research on exercise and brain health
A.It overlooked differences among exercise types.
B.It overestimated the benefits of aerobic exercise.
C.It ignored the social aspect of activities.
D.It relied too much on animal studies.
33.Why does the author mention swimming and cycling
A.To show their popularity among the elderly.
B.To compare them with mental activities.
C.To set a baseline for dancing’s advantages.
D.To challenge the study’s methodology.
34.What is the researchers’ attitude toward their findings
A.Fully convinced. B.Highly critical.
C.Mildly doubtful. D.Completely dismissive.
35.What is the main idea of the passage
A.Dancing should replace medical treatments.
B.Physical exercise can prevent cognitive decline.
C.The Bronx study has settled debates on dementia prevention.
D.Combined mental and physical engagement benefits the brain most.

As high school students, we must spend the vast majority of our time in class and reading
books. 36 . Without a friend, our world would be a wilderness. What kind of friends should we
pick
What are the dos and don’ts of friendship Here are some of my opinions.
37 We may consider different people we meet every day to be nice and feel like making
friends with them. However, not all good people are matches for us. Rather than make friends with
the popular students, we should spend time with those we have things in common with, or who will be

there to listen to us. Moreover, we should be careful about students with many bad habits, since they
could pass those habits on to us.
Being tolerant is a good idea. No one is perfect. 38 Therefore, we should try to understand
our friends and be patient with them when they make mistakes since we’re all on a journey to being
better people. Gradually, our friendships will last longer and become more solid.
Be honest. 39 However, it’s better to be honest with friends, to tell them what is bothering
us and seek their advice. Being honest will not annoy your friends, but it will bring you and your
friend closer together.
We need to be open-minded. Listen to others’ ideas, whether you agree with them or
not. 40
A.We must be careful.
B.We need to be well-informed.
C.As is said, honesty is the best policy.
D.None are so deaf as those who will not hear.
E.A friend without faults will never be found.
F.Still, spending time with friends is also necessary and good for us.
G.We all tend to show our positive side to friends and hide our true feelings.

I knew healing my relationship with Dad was vital, but how to go about it was another story. At
the time the gulf between us seemed insurmountable(无法逾越的). My feelings of being criticized
and rejected by Dad were my deepest wound.
In my early years I was the apple of his eye,and he was a hero in my childhood. We played
sports and games, and often went fishing together.
As adolescence approached, however, everything changed. It became clear that I was
determined to forge my own path, one completely different from his expectation. In school I was
having behavioral problems, being a class joker and breaking all the rules. And having my parents
read my school report was a nightmare for me. Sometimes I was punished. Their disapproval made
me feel even worse. Punishments only added to the hurt.
My dad had no idea how to deal with me. He became silent and distant, setting a wall and
pretending that he didn't care. That was even more painful to me than my mother's voiced disapproval.
I hated him for that, and pretended that I didn't want anything to do with him. We lived under the
same roof, but we were a thousand miles away from each other.
I continued to have trouble with school until the time I chose to drop out and pursue my
interests in music. I became totally focused on my spiritual growth, which sent shivers(寒颤)
through my father's mind. There were many hard feelings between us,feelings that hardened as time
went by.
For much of my twenties, I went about my life without much of a relationship with my dad.
We had stopped trying to change each other, but the walls remained, thick and cold between us.
Things all began changing four years after mom told me it was time to deal with Dad. Hesitant
for a long time, I finally took her advice and wrote my father a letter.
