In the modern age of social media and digital distractions, building good relationships with classmates has become a challenge for many middle school students. With smartphones always within reach and online entertainment competing for attention, it is easy to forget the value of face-to-face communication. However, strong friendships formed during school years can bring joy, support, and valuable life lessons. Here are some useful tips to help you get along well with your classmates.
①_________
In group discussions or when your classmates are sharing something, put away your phone and give them your full attention. Look into their eyes, nod, and show that you are interested in what they are saying. Active listening means not interrupting and asking thoughtful questions afterward. This makes them feel respected and valued, and it encourages them to trust you with their thoughts.
②_________
Whether it’s a school project, a sports event, or a club activity, joining in can help you get to know your classmates better. Working together towards a common goal allows you to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and personalities. It also creates shared memories that can strengthen your bond and give you more topics to talk about in everyday conversations.
③_________
Avoid complaining all the time. A positive attitude is contagious and can brighten even the most stressful school days. When you are positive, your classmates are more likely to be positive, too. Try to find the good in every situation, celebrate small wins together, and share your positive energy with others around you.
④_________
Your classmates come from different families, have different hobbies and ways of thinking. Don’t judge them for being different. Instead, learn from their differences and try to understand their perspectives. Embracing diversity makes your class a more interesting and supportive place for everyone to grow and learn.
⑤_________
If a classmate is having trouble with schoolwork or facing difficulties in life, offer a helping hand. Small acts of kindness, such as sharing notes or offering encouragement, can go a long way in building strong friendships. Helping others not only makes them feel supported but also gives you a sense of purpose and connection.

Every morning, a big riverside school in the forest of Borneo comes to life. The caretakers and teachers in the school are from a specialized team, and the students there are orangutans (猩猩) whose parents have gone missing, making it one of the most unusual schools in the world.
The orangutans aged from 2 to 8 years old are divided into five groups according to their skills. They are looked after by the team who feed the babies and teach the older ones to start feeding themselves. There are often problems in the beginning. For example, there was a lesson about how to break open a coconut to drink the milk inside. Several young orangutans couldn’t do that and they got very angry about the whole thing.
Of course, as in any social group, the orangutans have to learn to get on with each other. There are the usual arguments over food when one orangutan doesn’t get what he or she wants. However, with the care of the trainers, they gradually learn to accept each other.
In one of the lessons, the trainers teach young orangutans to climb trees. This is an important skill they need to learn. Some of the orangutans in particular were really scared. It took them a long time to get the courage to climb up and swing from a branch (树枝), but when they finally did it, they were so satisfied with themselves!
The goal of the “education system” is to train the orangutans to be able to live in the wild again and look after themselves. They won’t have to stay at school forever. After the older orangutans are set free into the forest, there is no more connection with the people from the school. They now have to live as wild orangutans again and be accepted by the other orangutans who are already there.
The day when they say goodbye is a difficult one. However, the trainers are happy that their job is done. They have successfully taught young orangutans how to live in the wild again—where they belong.
34. Where is the orangutan school

A.Fight to live. B.Be good with each other.

36. How did the young orangutans feel after learning to climb trees
A.Surprised. B.Relaxed. C.Tired. D.Happy.
37. Why is the “education system” set up for orangutans
A.To offer them an easy life. B.To train them to be independent.
C.To free them from the past. D.To keep them away from humans.
38. What can be a suitable title for the text
A.A Special Forest Team B.Wildlife Schools in the World
C.A School with a Difference D.Courses for Smart Orangutans

The 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala became a big stage for China’s fast-growing robot industry. Four top technology companies-Unitree, Magic Lab, Galaxy General Robotics and Songyan Power-showed many amazing and modern robots. These smart machines soon became one of the most popular topics of the year.
These robots did not just appear anywhere. Instead, they played special and important roles in different shows. In the performance Wu BOT, Unitree robots acted together with young martial artists (武术家). They performed perfect stick and nunchaku (双节棍) movements, showing great balance, speed and top-level control. In the short play Grandma’s Favorite, actress Cai Ming worked with a very human-like robot from Songyan Power. Their show was warm and funny, and it proved that technology can help people in daily life. At the same time, in the short film with Shen Teng and Ma Li, a robot from Galaxy General Robotics took part in gentle and natural activities, making high-tech feel close and easy to understand.
The influence of the gala went far beyond the stage itself. According to official news reports, online searches and sales orders for robots rose sharply only a few hours after the show. Many types of robots sold out in minutes, because people’s great interest quickly became real market needs.
As major media pointed out, this strong interest shows an important change: robots are moving from being just something to watch into something people really need. They are no longer just for fun. They are entering homes, care services and factories, with more and more practical uses. Although some people worry that machines might take the place of human warmth, the gala makes it clear that technology and human feelings can work well together.
The 2026 gala is more than just a wonderful visual show. It shows China’s growing power in smart production and artificial intelligence. As robots become a part of everyday life, they will not only bring greater convenience but also spread Chinese culture in a new way. They will connect tradition and new ideas to build a smarter future.

A.China’s long history of robot development.
