"The greatest scientists are artists as well，"said Albert Einstein，one of the greatest physicists and an amateur pianist and violinist.

The process of rating AI responses，as part of training the software，is called"reinforcement（强化）learning from human feedback"，and this provides the first clue about why ChatGPT favors certain word.It's not cheap to employ a lot of testers to rate thousands of responses from Al.So，big companies outsource these jobs to lower-income countries，often places where English is not the first language.One such country that offers cheap labor is Nigeria，and in Nigerian English，"delve"is a common word in professional settings.So，when Nigerian testers tell AI which responses sound natural，their own linguistic preferences come through.
As AI-generated content becomes more common，will it also affect the way we speak to each other？Insome ways，AI has already left its mark.Of course，language is a living thing，often affected by current events and by new technology.The point is that language is always updating itself，and how we use language is affected by the people we talk to and by the media we consume.As AI-generated media spreads，it is possible，even likely that AI will affect the development of our own vocabulary.

Our oceans are full of sophisticated（精密的），perfect traps：nets，hooks，fishing lines.Designed to capture animals destined for our dinner tables，they often catch other wildlife too.This accidental harvest is known as"bycatch"，and every year it kills millions of marine（海洋的） animals.It is also a tricky problem for fishermen，since trapped creatures can damage equipment，costing time and money.
"There are not very many conservation（保护） issues where conservationists，consumers，fishermen and resource users all want the same thing，"says marine biologist Matthew Savoca."Everyone involved wants less bycatch."
Some bycatch prevention methods have already shown promise in field trials.A study in northern Peru's Sechura Bay，for example，showed a turtle bycatch reduction of more than 60% thanks to LED-illuminated （照明） nets.Another approach is pingers—devices attached to fishing gear that send sounds to warn echo-locating animals away.In three Norwegian fisheries，pingers reduced bycatch of harbor porpoise（鼠海豚） by 94%.
But these solutions have yet to be carried out on a large scale.The devices can be expensive，and the methods are not without downsides.LED lights may reduce target fish catch.Pingers are also linked with an increase in bycatch of seals，which seem to associate the sound with a potential meal.
A low-tech approach may help small-scale fisheries reduce the bycatch of echo-locating animals：fixing plastic water bottles to their nets.Detecting thin，fine nets is difficult for echo-locators like dolphins，but water bottles are a more easily detectable obstacle（障碍） that could help them avoid the nets.
For a solution to work，policies and regulations need to be put in place and enforced.Just as important，preventive measures need to be practical for fishermen and not add extra time and money to do the job.As marine sustainability scientist Lekelia Jenkins says，the smaller the change，the more likely fishermen are to adopt it.
