both ... and ...、not only ... but (also) ...、either ... or ... 和 neither ... nor ... 都是常见的并列连词，它们可以连接两个并列的主语、谓语、宾语、表语、状语等。except 和 as well as 也是常见的连接词。
◆ both ... and ... 意思是“……和……两者都，既……又……”。如：
Both New York and London have traffic problems. 纽约和伦敦都存在交通问题。

注意：当 both ... and ... 连接的两个成分在句中充当主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。如：

that 引导的宾语从句
