Unit 7 Happy Birthday!
单元概述
本单元属于“人与自我”和“人与社会”范畴，涉及“多彩、安全、有意义的学校生活”、“良好的人际关系与人际交往”和“货币常识、理性消费”。单元核心问题（Big Question）：Why do we celebrate birthdays Section A 围绕“How do we celebrate birthdays ”展开，Section B 围绕“How do you make your birthday meaningful ”展开。
学习目标：能够正确表达日期并谈论生日；能够就年龄和生日日期进行问答；能够运用购物用语开展购物对话；能够描述生日庆祝活动，理解不同文化中的生日习俗。
一、词法精讲
本单元词法主要学习与生日庆祝、购物相关的核心词汇、月份与序数词、重点短语及词汇辨析。

基数词变序数词口诀：“基变序，有规律，词尾加上-th。一二三，特殊记，词尾字母 t,d,d。八去 t，九去 e，ve 要用 f 替。ty 将 y 变成 i，th 前面有个 e。”

注意：形容词修饰复合不定代词时后置，如 something else、something interesting。
how many / how much
how many接可数名词复数，问数量，如：How many kilos do you want how much接不可数名词，问数量或价格。如：How much is the yogurt
for sale / on sale
for sale，意思为“待售；供出售”，如：The house is for sale.on sale。意思为“廉价出售；打折”，如：The clothes are on sale in the mall.
for example / such as
for example后接句子或短语，常用逗号分隔，常举1个例子，如：For example, I like fruit. such as后接名词或名词短语，无需逗号，可列多个，如：I like fruit, such as apples and bananas.

二、语法精讲
本单元重点语法有两个：日期表达法和特殊疑问句。
（一）日期表达法
1. 询问日期的句型
询问生日日期When is your birthday 。如：—When is your birthday —It’s on 14th April.
询问他人生日When is + 某人的 + birthday？ 如：When is your mother‘s birthday
日期表达方式
英式（英国英语，用“日 + 月”，如：14th April；美式（美国英语），用“月 + 日”。如：April 14th。
注意：两种表达方式都可以接受，但写法略有不同。英式先写日子再写月份，美式先写月份再写日子。
日期前的介词
on + 具体日期，有“日”就用 on，如：on 13th June；on 14th April；in + 月份/年份，只有“月”或“年”，如：in June；in 2024。口诀：“有日用 on，无日用 in，时刻用 at。”
年龄的询问与表达
询问年龄 ，用How old are you ；询问他人年龄，用How old is + 某人 ，如：How old is your sister
（二）特殊疑问句
本单元重点掌握由 what、when、how many、how much、why 等引导的特殊疑问句。
