There is no doubt that the world will be a very different place in 2045. So what's going to happen then It's pretty likely that robots and AI technology will change a lot of industries. Also, self-driving and flying cars will come into our daily life, bringing us much convenience.
However, scientists have even bigger ideas. In a video series called Forward to the Future, three researchers predicted what they imagined would be reality in 2045.
Dr. Justin Sanchez believes we'll be at a point where we can control things simply by using our mind. "Imagine a world where you could just use your thoughts to control your environment," Justin said. According to him, experts are working on certain technologies that can make this happen. They've made some progress already.
The future has more than just that. Many other exciting things could change the building and other objects around us, says Stefanie Tompkins. "We'll be able to build things that are very strong but also lightweight (轻型的). We don't even know the materials around us," she predicted.
Pam Melroy believes we're going to find that we have a very different relationship with the machines around us. "I think we'll begin to see a time when we're able to control a machine just by pressing a button (按钮) or only saying some simple words," she said. For example, right now to land a plane safely, a pilot has to go through many steps in the right order. But in 2045, in Pam's words, a pilot may just need to say the words "prepare for landing". Then the computer knows the steps it needs to take. Or perhaps, with AI, a pilot won't even be necessary.
32. What does the underlined word "this" refer to in Paragraph 3
A. Making progress in AI technology.
B. Driving flying cars in our daily life.
C. Controlling things by using our mind.
D. Using robots in different industries.
33. Which of the following would be possible according to Stefanie
A. AI helps pilots to land planes.
B. Computers operate all machines.
C. Self-driving cars travel around us.
D. Houses are strong but lightweight.
34. Which is the best title for the passage
A. Challenges for AI in the Future
B. Experts' Predictions of Life in 2045
C. Famous Scientists in New Technologies
D. New Kinds of Building Materials
35. In which part of a newspaper can we read this passage
A. Health & Lifestyle.
B. Education & Culture.
C. Nature & Environment.
D. Science & Technology.

However, after walking for about an hour, he realized he had lost his way. The trees all looked the same. He tried to remember the way back, but everything was unfamiliar. He felt a little nervous. He checked his phone — no signal. The sun was going down and the temperature(温度) was dropping quickly. He was wearing only a thin jacket. He started to regret (后悔) his decision.

书信范文
Dear Headmaster,
I am a student from Class 1, Grade 1. I am writing to give some suggestions about protecting our school environment.
Now we can see lots of plastic rubbish everywhere in our campus, and many students waste water and electricity without awareness. To change this situation, I have two suggestions. First, the school can set more classified rubbish bins and hold environmental lectures to raise students' awareness. Second, we can turn off unused lights and taps after class and avoid using disposable plastic bottles.
I hope all students can take action to build a green and clean campus together.
Yours,
Tom
读后续写范文
Paragraph 1: The old man smiled and said, "Don't worry. I know these woods very well." He comforted Tom patiently and asked him not to be scared. The old man told Tom he often walked his dog here and knew every path clearly. He shared a warm coat with Tom to keep him from the cold, then led Tom along a familiar road back home. On their way, the old man told Tom some useful skills to avoid getting lost in the woods next time.
Paragraph 2: When Tom finally got home, his mom gave him a big hug. She had been extremely worried and planned to call the police to look for him. Tom apologized sincerely for worrying his family and promised he would never go deep into the forest alone without enough preparation. This unforgettable experience taught Tom that he should never act recklessly and always prepare well before going out for adventures.
