Everyone loves birthdays! Let me tell you how some students celebrate their special day.
Tom's birthday is on May 15th. This year, he has a big party at home. His parents buy a big chocolate cake with strawberries on top. His friends come to the party and bring many gifts. Tom gets a new soccer ball from his dad and a book about animals from his best friend, Jack. They play games, sing songs and eat the cake together. Tom feels very happy.
Amy's birthday is on November 3rd. She doesn't have a party this year. Instead, she goes to the zoo with her family. She loves animals very much. She sees pandas, elephants and monkeys there. Her parents give her a camera as a birthday gift so she can take photos of animals. She thinks it is a wonderful day.
Jack's birthday is on August 22nd. He celebrates it at school with his classmates. His mother makes cupcakes for the class. Everyone sings "Happy Birthday" to him. His teacher, Ms. Brown, gives him a special pencil with his name on it. Jack says it is his best birthday because he spends it with all his friends.

A Special Birthday Party
Last Sunday was my 13th birthday. It was a special day for me. I want to share what happened.
In the morning, my parents came into my room and said "Happy Birthday!" with a big smile. They gave me a beautiful blue box. Inside was a new watch. I was so excited because I really wanted a watch to tell the time. I hugged them and said thank you.
