文章 1 —— 记叙文（Narrative）
Going Home for the Spring Festival
“The Spring Festival is coming soon. Dad, can we go to Hainan for a holiday ” I asked excitedly.
“Not this time,” Dad smiled. “We are going to your mother's hometown!”
Soon the day came. We got up early in the morning and took the train. The train journey took over five hours. Then we took a bus and arrived at my grandparents' village in the afternoon.
At the end of the road, I saw my grandpa and my little cousin standing in the cold wind, waiting for us. Grandma, my aunt and my uncle were busy cooking dinner in the kitchen. They were very happy to see us. After a while, Mum and Dad also went to the kitchen to help.
“Ah, home again!” Mum said with a big smile on her face.
During dinner, my uncle told us some jokes and we all laughed happily. Mum said, “Hmm, the taste of home!”
When we were leaving a few days later, Grandma held my hand and asked, “Can you come back often ” Mum nodded with tears in her eyes.

Anne's Decision
Anne was adopted by Marilla when she was very young. They lived happily together on a farm called Green Gables. Now Anne was going to university in another city, but Marilla was sick.
One day, Anne came back and found Marilla sitting at the kitchen table. She looked very tired.
“Are you OK, Marilla ” Anne asked.
“I went to see the doctor,” Marilla said sadly. “But it's no use talking about it, Anne. Could you get me a cup of tea ”
“Can you tell me what the doctor said ” Anne asked softly as she brought Marilla the tea.
“He said I must give up all reading, sewing, and farm work, or I will go blind,” Marilla said.
“Don't think that way, Marilla,” Anne said. “There is still hope.”
“I don't know,” Marilla said. “I'm afraid I'll have to sell Green Gables.”
Anne was shocked. “Oh, Marilla, you can't sell it! This is our home!”
