附:听力原文
Text 1
W: Hi Mike. How was your interview for the bookstore job
M: It was okay. The questions were easy, but I’m not sure if I’m the right fit. I’ll know next
week.
W: I see. Good luck.
Text 2
M: Excuse me, I seem to be lost. How do I get to the City Museum from here
W: Go down this road, take the second left, and it’s opposite a large park.
M: Second left, opposite a park. Thanks a lot.
Text 3
W: John, I have a terrible headache and can’t go out. Could you possibly pick up something for
me
M: Of course. What do you need
W: Would you mind buying some aspirin and a loaf of bread from the shop below
M: No problem.
Text 4
M: Just to confirm, tomorrow morning you are starting work 30 minutes earlier.
W: Yes, I remembered.
M: So it would be seven o’clock, OK
W: I have already set my alarm. Don’t worry.
Text 5
M: Passport, please. What’s the purpose of your visit
W: Here you are. I’m attending a three-day business conference.
M: I see. Where will you be staying
W: At the Grand Hotel, as my company booked it.
Text 6
W: Hey Mark, how’s your group project on environmental pollution going
M: Hi Lisa. It’s progressing slowly. We’ve finished the online research, but we still need to
interview some local people about their recycling habits.
W: I see. When is the final report due
M: Next Wednesday. We also have to give a 15-minute presentation in class two days later. I’m
a bit worried about the interview part—finding people to talk to is harder than we thought.
W: Don’t worry. Maybe you can ask people in a park this weekend. I’m sure you’ll manage.
Good luck!
Text 7
W: My friends always say things around them are meaningless. Honestly, they bring me down
sometimes.
M: That's common, Gina. Although life in high school is great, since it’s changing so quickly,
it’s easy to be at a loss.
W: But you're always in a good mood. How do you keep kind to people around
M: It just depends on how you look at things. And if you hold a positive attitude to others,
usually they’ll get that and act as you do.
Text 8
W: Good morning, China Eastern Airlines. What can I do for you
M: Good morning. I’d like to book a flight to Beijing next week.
W: When do you prefer
M: Next Tuesday is best.
W: We have Flight MU3562 that day. However, all the seats have been booked up.
M: Well, then, how about Wednesday
W: Yes, Flight MU3513 leaves at 7:30 on that morning.
M: It’s a direct flight, isn’t it
W: Yes, it is. Shall I book you a seat
M: What about the fare
W: For business class, it’s 1,200 yuan. For economy class, it’s 750 yuan.
5
M: OK, I’ll take that flight. 2 tickets for the economy class, please.
W: OK, 2 tickets, economy class, for Flight MU3513 on Wednesday, October 13th. Thank you
for your trust.
Text 9
W: Today, we’re going to share the stories of the famous traveler Dick Cruz. Welcome, Dick!
M: Hell, everybody.
W: So, Dick, I heard you’ve been to 43 countries. Is that true
M: I’m honored to say: Yes. And this year alone, I’ve traveled to 5 countries in South America,
3 in Asia, and Australia for 3 months.
W: That sounds quite rich. And you seem to be very interested in Australia, do you
M: Yeah. When I was young, my dad would led me to explore the mountains and woods
outside my town. So I’m crazy about the beauty of nature. Australia is well known for its natural
landscape and wild animals. So that country has a special charm for me.
W: What’s the most challenging experience you met there
M: I did meet some difficulties, such as running into bad weather or missing the local bus. But
nothing is more risky than getting lost, especially when you were in the central desert. So I think a
local guide with rich experience is quite necessary.
Text 10
M: The streets of London were filled with energy yesterday for the city's famous yearly
marathon, a major international sporting event. Beginning in the open space of the Greenwich Park
in the morning, the 26-mile course went its way past famous landmarks like the Tower Bridge,
finishing at the entrance of the House of Parliament. Event organizers reported that more than 4,000
runners took part. The weather, cool and cloudy, was ideal for the long-distance run. Among the
participants, over 1,200 were over 60 years old, and about 800 people were running not for a fast
time, but to raise money for poor families. The first runner to cross the finish line was from Kenya,
completing the race in just over two hours. Yet for the vast majority, the main goal was simply the
personal achievement of finishing. A 70-year-old woman completed the course in over seven hours
without stopping, finally greeted by her proud, smiling family. Events like this marathon show that
it is more than just a race; it brings the community together and proves that with strong will,
personal goals are within reach.
