Zhang Xue is a key figure in China’s motorcycle industry. He founded ZXMOTO, a Chinese motorcycle brand that made history in 2026 by winning two straight races at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Portugal. His journey is a true underdog story.
Born in 1987 in a poor mountain village in Hunan Province, Zhang dropped out of school at 14 and worked as a repair shop apprentice (学徒). He learned engines by taking them apart with his own hands. At 19, eager to prove himself, he chased a TV crew’s car for over 100 kilometers through pouring rain on a broken motorcycle. The crew laughed at him, but his courage earned him a spot on TV. That led to a job as a rider and mechanic.
Realizing he started racing too late to become a champion rider, Zhang changed his goal, “If I cannot ride the fastest bike, I will build one.” In 2013, he arrived in Chongqing with only 20,000 yuan (about 2,900 USD), bought parts, and built his first bike. In 2017 he co-founded Kove Moto, which grew into a major brand. But in 2024, after leaving Kove, he started ZXMOTO — his own company, named after his name.
Zhang’s years of devotion to motorcycle engineering has finally borne fruit. In March 2026, French rider Valentin Debise rode the ZXMOTO 820 RR-RS to two straight wins at WSBK, beating Ducati and Yamaha by nearly four seconds — the first ever race wins for a Chinese manufacturer. Watching from the sidelines, Zhang was moved to tears.
Today, ZXMOTO is valued at over one billion yuan. Zhang once said, “The world had no impression of Chinese motorcycles. Now they will remember us.” His story — from a motorcycle apprentice to a pioneer of Chinese motorsports — proves that passion can move mountains.

D.To stress his disadvantage in education.

In the 1950s, researchers found that bus drivers were twice as likely to have heart attacks as bus conductors. Since then, dozens of studies have found links between sitting and a variety of illnesses, with a 2013 analysis of studies concluding: “Higher amounts of daily sitting time are linked with greater risk of death.”
Too much sitting will cause postural(姿势的) problems, including knee pain and lower back pain. Studies have found a connection between long-time sitting and different forms of bone and muscle pain as well as neck pain.
You can ease this problem to some extent by making some movements. However, being very active doesn’t entirely protect you from sitting too long. You could run for an hour every morning and meet the government guidelines for physical activity, but then sit down for the rest of the day -which would mean sitting too long, in terms of risk.
There’s also the cardio-metabolic(心血管代谢) problem caused by long sitting. It’s not completely understood why sitting seems to be related to a range of health conditions, but the most reasonable explanation is that it puts your body at rest. When you do it for long enough, your metabolism slows. You are actually switching off some of your body’s largest muscles, with results that range from increased waist size to risks of illnesses.
So, what should you be doing Improving your posture can be effective. At work, keeping your screen at eye level and your feet flat on the floor is a good start. The easiest way to make a significant difference, though, is to get up every 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Best of all, of course, is standing for a while once you are up. Ask yourself: Is there something you’re doing that doesn’t require you to sit down Could you read your emails standing up Could you go for a walk while you think
Were you standing comfortably while you read this Maybe you should have been.

A.Scientific research into it.
B.Its harmful effects on health.
C.How it leads to people’s thick waists.

11. What is the best title for the text

Global warming is greatly affecting sea turtle babies — 99% of them are being born female. Sea turtle populations have been facing an obvious population drop, which are further worsened by climate change.
Floridian sea turtles for the past four years have been facing the hottest summers in Florida state history. Bette Zirkelback, a manager of the Turtle Hospital within the Florida Keys, noted that, “Scientists, who are studying sea turtle hatching (孵化), have found no male sea turtles and only female sea turtles for the past four years.”
This surprising trend shows how climate change is affecting the species and how animals struggle to adapt to these unnatural monly, sex is determined before birth, but in sea turtles, something unique happens. When female sea turtles bury their eggs in the sand, the sex is decided by the temperature of the sand on the beaches. These turtle eggs will hatch for around two months, and their sex is decided by a temperature difference of around 4 degrees. Sea turtles that hatch below 27.7℃ will be born male. If sea turtles hatch above 31℃, they will be born female.
Melissa Rosales Rodriguez, a sea turtle keeper at the Miami Zoo Turtle Hospital, expressed her concerns saying, “In the years to come, we’re going to see an obvious drop in their population because we just don’t have the genetic diversity (基因多样性). We don’t have the male-to-female rate needed in order to be able to have enough sea turtle babies.”
Therefore, in sea turtle hatching grounds around the world, there is a huge need for sea turtle protection centers to ensure the future of sea turtles.
12. What is the major threat to sea turtles
A.Habitat loss.
B.Human activities.
C.Climate change.
D.Water pollution.
13. What can be inferred about sea turtles from Paragraph 3
A.They have a fixed male-to-female rate.
B.They require high temperatures to hatch.
C.Their eggs are laid on the beach surface.
D.Their sex is affected by sand temperature.
14. What does the author suggest for sea turtles
A.Establishing preservation sites globally.
B.Improving the success rate of hatching.
C.Fixing the sand temperature to a fit level.
D.Protecting the eggs from their enemies.
15. Which can be a suitable title for the text
A.Ways to Ensure the Future of Sea Turtles
B.The Drop of Female Sea Turtle Populations
C.Why 99% of Sea Turtles Are Born Female
D.How Climate Change Is Killing Sea Turtles

On a cold, damp evening in mid-November, a sharp wind cut through the streets, but Jack paid little attention to the chill. As a delivery rider, he had just finished a few smooth orders, his hands warm from the hot milk tea cups he’d been carrying, and his spirits fairly good. Stepping out of a milk tea shop, he found the spot where his second-hand electric bike had been parked now empty. In an instant, his heart sank, and a wave of hopelessness swept over him, turning his calm evening into a nightmare. That bike was far more than just a vehicle; it was his lifeline, the only way for him to earn daily income and cover his living expenses.
Panic set in as he remembered the undelivered orders — especially a cup of hot milk tea for Ms. White, a regular customer. His hand trembled as he pressed the voice button, his words laced with sorrow and anxiety as he apologized repeatedly, offering to pay for the undelivered drink. To his great surprise, Ms. White did not respond with anger or complaint, but with gentle kindness. Ms. White told him not to worry and to take his time finding his bike.
Her understanding words calmed him, but also deepened his sense of responsibility. “She is so kind. I cannot let her down,” he thought. For nearly two hours, he searched every nearby street, but there was no sign of his bike. As night grew darker and the wind bit harder, Jack clenched his fists and made a firm decision. He took out his poor savings, bought a bag of fresh apples and a new cup of hot milk tea, then set off on foot to Ms. White’s apartment, several kilometers away. The wind bit into his thin jacket, and his old shoes grew heavy with mud, but the thought of keeping his promise and maintaining his integrity kept him moving forward through the dimly lit urban landscape.

1.续写词数应为150个左右;
2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
