Unit 5 Power of Ideas
“三阶导读” 指的是学习理解—应用实践—迁移创新三个递进层次的学习活动。本训练以“Power of Ideas”单元为载体，按照这三个层次逐步推进：先通过阅读解构文本，再在应用中内化语言，最后迁移到写作输出。
一、训练内容
【第一阶】学习理解——阅读解构
The Power of Ideas
A small idea can change the world. Ideas are powerful. They can solve problems and make life better.
Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison was an inventor. He had a big idea — to make electric light. At that time, people used candles. They were not bright and were dangerous.
His hard work
Edison tried many times. He failed over 1,000 times. But he did not give up. He said, “I found 10,000 ways that won‘t work.” Finally, he made the light bulb.
How the idea changed the world
Edison’s idea changed everything. Now we have lights at home, at school, and on the street. We can work and play at night.
What we learn
Edison teaches us that ideas are important. But we also need to work hard. We should not fear failure.
