I . Teaching Contents:
This lesson revolves around “how to greet”，enabling students to learn how to greet and introduce themselves and others，using sentences such as “Hello！/Hi！”“Good morning.” and “May I know your name？” to greet each other and enhance mutual understanding
II.Teaching Aims :
Language Proficiency(语言能力)
1．Acquire vocabulary and sentence patterns such as “Hi！/Hello！/Good morning.” and pay attention to，extract，summarize，and internalize the expressions of mutual greetings.
2．Based on the study of letters A—Z，master their pronunciation，order，and be able to write them correctly and neatly.
3．Perceive the pronunciation of the 26 letters and classify them according to the same vowel phonemes.
Cultural Awareness(文化意识)
Teach students to be polite and get along well with classmates through greeting each other.Everything is difficult at the beginning，so first use this unit to cultivate students' interest in English，because interest is the best teacher.
Thinking Quality(思维品质)
1．Understand different ways of greeting in English and be able to use them flexibly.
2．Cultivate students' sense of cooperation and team spirit through group activities.
3．Develop students' thinking and innovative abilities during activities.
Learning Capability(学习能力)
Through various learning activities such as games，cultivate students' listening，speaking，reading and writing abilities for beginner level knowledge，as well as the ability to flexibly use beginner level daily communication phrases.

Students will greet each other with Hello/ Hi /Good afternoon / What ' s your name / Nice to meet you .

Students will greet each other in different situations .
IV . Teaching Process :
Step 1: Warming - up & Lead - in
Students sing a song 《 ABC 》
Step 2: Presentation
Task 1: The teacher presents some letter cards and guide students to read the letter .
Task 2: The teacher guides the students to write the letters according to the pronunciation of the letters .
Task 3: The teacher guides the students to read the letters from Aa to Zz one by one .
The teacher and the students listen carefully and correct the mistakes . Then read it together .
Step 3: Greeting
Task 1:

The teacher guides the students greet each other with hi and hello .
Task 2:
The teacher presents some sentences like Good afternoon / What ' s your name / Nice to meet you /Goodbye .
The teacher guides the students to distinguish which one can be used to greet people and which one cannot be used to greet people .

Step 4: Listening
Pre - listening :
Look at the pictures and guess where they are .
While - listening :
Listen to three conversations . Fill in the blanks with the correct sentences in the box in 2c.
Post - listening :
Read the conversations to check the answers .
Step 5: Summary
The teacher guide the students to have a chant .

Teaching reflection:
This lesson comes from Starter unit 1 Hello ! Section A la -2d. The topic of this unit is about greeting . This lesson is a listening and speaking class . I designed it based on the compulsory education curriculum standards in 2022.
The achievement of teaching aims .
I set two aims . In this class , students can read and write 26 English letters and they can greet each other . So I achieved these aims well , I think .
The difference between prediction and production .
This is the first class of this book . And the teaching content is really large . But the students performed well in this class . They are active and outgoing and they are willing to greet each other . But some students cannot write some of the letters correctly . It took me more time to help them .
The highlights and shortcomings .
First , I guided students to sing a song and do a chant . The students are interested in them . Second , I used letters to lead into the greeting words . The students can accept it easily . However , there is not enough time for me to guide students practice greeting each other .
The reconstructions .
According to my shortcoming , if time is enough , I will give students more time to discuss and make conversations about greeting . I believe the class will be better .
