Making a Difference
Many people think they are ordinary and can do nothing big. But in fact, everyone can make a difference in the world. We do not need to do great and difficult things. Small kind acts can also warm others’ hearts and change the world for the better. Helping others is a simple way to bring warmth and beauty to our life.
Small acts of kindness matter
Kindness is everywhere in our daily life. Helping classmates with their study, giving seats to the elderly on the bus, picking up rubbish on the street or cheering up sad friends—these small actions seem common, but they are meaningful. A small kind act can make someone’s day and spread positive energy around us. No act of kindness is ever wasted.
Volunteering helps more people
Volunteering is a great way to make a bigger difference. Many young people take part in volunteer activities in their free time. They help clean up parks, raise money for poor children, or visit lonely old people in nursing homes. Volunteers do not get money for their work, but they get strong feelings of satisfaction and happiness. They learn to care for others and understand the meaning of responsibility.
Overcome difficulties and keep going
Doing good is not always easy. Sometimes we may meet difficulties or get no thanks from others. We may feel tired or disappointed. However, we should never give up. Making a difference needs patience and courage. Even when few people notice us, our efforts are valuable and helpful.
Influence others around us
Our kindness can influence people around us. When we keep doing small good things, we set a good example for others. More people will join us and spread kindness. The more love we give, the more love we will get in return. Small kindness can finally form great power.
