The Power of Imitation in Language Learning
Imitation is one of the most natural and effective ways to learn a new language. From the moment we are born, we learn by imitating the sounds and actions of those around us. This is how we first learn to speak. Even as adults, imitation remains a powerful tool for language acquisition.
When you imitate a native speaker, you are not just copying their words. You are also learning their pronunciation, intonation, and rhythm. This helps you sound more natural and fluent. Studies have shown that learners who imitate native speakers often develop better speaking skills than those who do not. Imitation can also help you understand the culture behind the language. By copying the way people speak, you can learn about their values and customs.
However, imitation is not just about repeating what you hear. It is also about understanding why people say things in a certain way. This is where active imitation comes in. Active imitation involves thinking about what you are imitating and making it your own. With practice, you can use imitation to become a more confident and effective communicator.
In conclusion, imitation is a valuable skill for language learners. It can help you speak more naturally, understand the culture, and improve your overall communication skills. So, don't be afraid to imitate. It is a sign of a good language learner.

Every day we meet new people. Have you ever thought about how we can simply start a conversation with them 66
Just say it. If you are in a room with a stranger, and you want to talk with him, but the words just won’t come out. I know the feeling and here is my advice: Just say it. What is the worst that could happen They won’t talk with you 67 So just start with a simple “Hey.”or “Hello.”
68 Sometimes, you meet a new friend. Try to find the things which both of you have in common, and then you can go on the conversation from that point. When you start a conversation from there, and then move to other things, you’ll realize that the conversation becomes much easier.
Communicate with heart. Imagine when you pour your words out to someone and he is just busy with other things. 69 So please remember that next time someone wants to talk with you, just be in that communication with your whole heart.
Names, places and things. 70 In this situation, I think we should remember the little details of those people: Maybe one place where you have been together, and one thing you both like. If you remember such things, you can make conversations more easily with the people.
根据材料内容,从下面五个选项中选出能填入文中空缺处的最佳选项,使文章意思通顺、内容完整。
A.Find things in common.
B.There are some tips for you.
C.Well, they are not talking with you now!

Sullivan’s hand gestures were sign language, a form of hand alphabet (字母表) used by people who are deaf or lose their voices. But people who have no hearing 84 (able) have an advantage that Helen did not: They can see the person using sign language. Sullivan used the hand alphabet and the touch to spell letters and words into Helen’s hand. In that way, Helen learned that every object had a name.
Like spoken languages, sign languages are different from country to country. Even English-speaking people do not share the same signs. The British Sign Language (BSL) uses two hands for its alphabet, 85 the American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet uses one hand. In fact, ASL is considered more similar to French Sign Language (LSF). In 86 (many) sign languages worldwide, there are also signs for certain objects or common phrases. This understanding allowed Helen to go 87 her world and communicate much 88 (effect).
Helen’s journey was not easy, but with Sullivan’s encouragement, she dealt with many 89 (difficult). Helen’s story marks the importance of keeping trying and the power of 90 (communicate). Her achievements continue to encourage people around the world.

The well-known lesson between Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan came at a spring (泉眼). That’s when Helen realized that the cool water 81 (fall) on one hand and the five hand positions that Sullivan pressed into 82 other hand were connected. At that moment, the communication wall 83 (break).
