三、用所给单词的适当形式完成短文,使其内容通顺(共5分)
A 15-year-old girl named Lily 16 (live) with her parents for 15 years. She has so many family rules at home that she often feels stressed and nervous. Every morning, she is asked to get up at 6:30 and finish her homework before dinner. She can’t watch TV or use her phone on weekdays, and she even can’t go out with friends 17 telling her parents first.
These rules make Lily feel like she has no freedom. She always dreams of leaving home and living a free life. “If I can live alone,I will do whatever I want,” she often thinks to herself.
One night, Lily had a strange dream. In the dream, she left home quietly. She walked for a long time and finally arrived at a “Free House”, very different from 18 (she). There were delicious foods, exciting games and all kinds of toys-everything she had ever wanted. She could do whatever she wanted. At first, she enjoyed herself very much. But after two days, she started to miss her home. She missed each of her family 19 (member) care.
Then she began to think about the family rules. She realized that the rules 20 (make) not to punish her, but to help her become a better person. When she woke up, she felt very relaxed. From then on, she tried to understand her parents better than before.

Growing Up with Volunteer Work
Last year, our teacher asked us to take part in volunteer activities for at least 10 hours during the holiday. At first, I thought it would be a boring task that took up my free time. I loved playing online games and reading novels in my room, so I refused to join any group at once. My mom had a long talk with me. She told me volunteering could help me understand the world outside my small life and learn to care for others.
I decided to try working at the city animal shelter near my home. When I first walked into the shelter, dozens of stray dogs and cats ran toward me, making loud noises. I felt a little scared and wanted to run away. A volunteer sister showed me how to feed small cats and clean their houses. Slowly, I got used to staying with these little animals. One weak black cat caught my eye. It had hurt its leg and could not walk well. I spent one hour every day staying with it, feeding it soft food and touching its head gently. After three weeks, its leg got much better, and it always followed me when I appeared.
On the last day of my volunteer work, a family came to take this black cat home. Before they left, the cat rubbed its head against my hand. At that moment, my eyes were full of tears. I didn’t feel bored at all. Instead, I felt a strong sense of satisfaction. I finished 18 volunteer hours that holiday, more than the required time.
Now I go to the shelter every two weeks on weekends. I learn that volunteer work is not just a task for school. It teaches me responsibility and kindness. When we give love to weak little lives, we can also get warm happiness in return. I hope more teenagers can spend some time volunteering, and they will find a different wonderful world.

Do you know cuju It is an ancient Chinese sport that is similar to soccer. It began in the State of Qi during the Warring States Period. The place is now called Linzi, in Shandong Province. According to legend (传说), cuju was invented by Huangdi, the Yellow Emperor. He used it to train soldiers for battle.
During the Han Dynasty, cuju became very popular. It developed into a professional sport with clear rules. Players could use their feet, knees, and chest to control the ball. However, they could not use their hands to touch it. A game was played between two teams, and each team had six players. The team that scored more goals won the game. Many famous generals, such as Wei Qing and Huo Qubing, enjoyed playing cuju in their free time. Even Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty was a big fan of this exciting sport. He often watched matches and cheered for his favorite teams.
But things changed in the Ming Dynasty. Some officials played cuju too much. They spent so much time on the sport that they often forgot their important work. As a result, Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, banned (禁止) the sport for officials. Later, the Qing Dynasty kept the ban. Cuju slowly disappeared from China.

However, the story of cuju did not end there. In 2004,FIFA (国际足联) officially accepted cuju as the earliest form of soccer. This made many Chinese people very proud. Just two years later, in 2006, China listed cuju as a national intangible cultural heritage (国家级非物质文化遗产). This means that cuju is an important part of Chinese culture and history.
Today, people in Linzi still remember the history of cuju. They often hold cuju activities to show the traditional culture to visitors. Cuju is a great example of how a sport can connect the past and the present. It also shows the wisdom and creativity of ancient Chinese people.
