表示过去在某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行的动作或存在的状态。
定义
结构
I was cooking at 8:00 last night.
主语+be(was/were)+动词的现在分词（v-ing）
was/were doing
时间状语标志：
at this （that）time +过去时间
at this time yesterday
at that time / moment、at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon
其他： those days 、this morning、
all day, all night… …

口诀 规则 例子
直 1. 一般情况下，直接在动词后加-ing。 play –playing
去 2. 动词以不发音的-e结尾，要去-e加-ing。 take – taking
双 3.重读闭音节的动词（末尾只有一个辅音字母，辅元辅结构）要双写词尾辅音字母，再加-ing。 cut – cutting
变 4. 以-ie结尾的动词，把ie变成y再加-ing。 lie - lying
句式结构:
肯定句：
主语+ was/were+ V-ing+其他
I was doing my homework at that time.
否定句：
主语+ was/were+not+ V-ing+其他
I wasn’t doing my homework at that time.
一般疑问句：was/were 提前
Was/Were+主语+ V–ing +其他
Were you doing your homework at that time
特殊疑问句：
特殊疑问词+was/were+主语+ V -ing+其他
What were you doing at that time
Yes, 主语+was/were.
No, 主语+wasn’t /weren’t.
回答：
句型转换:改为否定句、一般疑问句和特殊疑问句
My parents were watching TV at this time yesterday.
否定句：
My parents TV at this time yesterday.
一般疑问句：
your parents TV at this time yesterday
特殊疑问句：
were your parents doing at this time yesterday
