Today, many taikonauts fly into space with the help of rockets and spaceships. But you know, long long ago, people already dreamed of flying to the moon. A Chinese thinker had a similar idea. He was Wan Hu from the Ming Dynasty. And he was the first person to try using a rocket to go into space.
Over 1,200 years ago, Chinese people started using gunpowder (火药) in wars. By 1232, the first simple rockets, called “fire arrows”, became popular. Each rocket had a tube (管子). The tube was full of gunpowder and tied to a stick. One end of the tube was open. When the powder was lighted, hot air came out from the open end and pushed the rocket forward.
Then people began to think: Can rockets be used for travel After all, if a small rocket could move something small, a bigger one might move a person.
But at that time, people knew very little about space. The idea was great, but no one knew how to make it work. Wan Hu wanted to have a try. He got 47 rockets and 47 helpers. He tied a chair to the rockets and added two kites. Then, he sat in the chair. He told his helpers to light all the rockets at once. There was a loud noise and lots of smoke. When the smoke went away, Wan Hu disappeared.
Wan Hu's idea was clearly not safe. But he showed the world a dream: using rockets to fly.
59.What did Wan Hu prepare for his trip in order to fly to space

On the night of August 30, 2023, many people took impressive photos of the largest and brightest super blue moon of the year. But do you really know what a “blue moon” is
What is a blue moon?A blue moon is the third full moon in a season with four full moons, or the second full moon in a calendar month with two full moons. There are usually 12 full moons each year, but sometimes there's a 13th one, because there are about 29.5 days between full moons in fact, not one month.
How often do blue moons appear?Blue moons appear once every two to three years, far less common than full moons. There's a popular saying about this in English: “Once in a blue moon.” It means something that happens not very often.
▲ The blue moon's name has nothing to do with its colour, but there is a small chance that the moon shows blue. For example, in 1883 an Indonesian volcano erupted (火山喷发) and sent ash (灰烬) into the atmosphere. The tiny ash particles (颗粒) filtered (过滤) red light and made both the moon and sun appear blue.
When may the next blue moon be The next monthly blue moon is expected on May 31, 2026, but the next seasonal one is on May 20, 2027. The dates may change with your time zone.
62.(新考向 写作手法题)How does the writer start paragraphs 2—5
A.By giving examples.
B.By asking questions.
C.By listing facts.
D.By comparing differences.
63.Why are there sometimes 13 full moons in one year

B.Because between full moons there are about 29.5 days.
C.Because a blue moon is the second full moon in a month.
D.Because there are 28 or 29 days in February every year.
64.Which of the following can be put in “ ▲ ” in paragraph 4
A.Can the moon turn blue
B.What colour is the moon
C.Do you see the blue moon

On the night of October 31st, a Long March rocket carrying the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre. Inside were three Chinese astronauts: Zhang Lu, Wu Fei, and Zhang Hongzhang. In just 3.5 hours, the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft successfully docked (对接) with the Tianhe Core Module of China Space Station on the morning of November 1st. This set a new record for the fastest docking in the history of China's Shenzhou missions.
This 3.5-hour docking was a first for China with astronauts on board. Scientists improved the technology by optimizing (优化) the flight path and shortening the distance. This reduced the docking time from the previous 6.5 hours. This breakthrough not only enhances the comfort of astronauts, but also improves the flexibility and emergency response ability of space station missions.
The three astronauts have different roles: space pilot, flight engineer, and payload expert. Zhang Lu serves as the commander, and Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang are making their first space flights. They will stay in space for six months. During this time, they will conduct 27 scientific experiments. One interesting experiment will study the effects of weightlessness on four mice.
The previous crew of Shenzhou-20 is ready to return to Earth. The Shenzhou-21 crew will also welcome the visits of Tianzhou-10 and Shenzhou-22 during their stay. These efforts continue to increase the value and capabilities of the China Space Station.
66.What is the main achievement of the Shenzhou-21 mission mentioned in the passage
A.It carried the first woman astronaut to the space station.
B.It achieved the fastest manned docking for China.
C.It built a new core module for the space station.
D.It will return to Earth in 3.5 hours.
67.What does the underlined word “previous” mean
A.Next. B.Last. C.Future. D.New.
68.How many of the Shenzhou-21 astronauts have been to space before this mission
A.All three. B.Two.
C.One. D.None.
69.What will the astronauts do during their six-month stay
A.Build a new space laboratory.
B.Train for the next rapid docking.
C.Conduct scientific experiments.
D.Prepare for the launch of Tianzhou-10.
70.Which of the following is an advantage of the faster docking time
A.It allows the rocket to carry more astronauts.
B.It makes the journey more comfortable for the crew.
C.It helps the spacecraft travel longer distances.
D.It reduces the number of scientific experiments needed.
第二节 阅读表达(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
  阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Is there intelligent life on other planets For years, scientists said “no” or “We don't know”. But today this is changing. Seth Shostak and Alexandra Barnett are astronomers. They believe intelligent life is somewhere in the universe. They also think we will soon communicate with them.
Why do Shostak and Barnett think intelligent life is on other planets The first reason is time. Scientists believe the universe is about 12 billion years old. “This is long enough for other planets to have intelligent life,” said Shostak and Barnett. The other one is size—the universe is huge. “Tools like the Hubble telescope have shown that there are at least 100 billion galaxies,” said Shostak. “And our galaxy, the Milky Way, has at least 100 billion stars. Some planets going around these stars might be similar to Earth.”
In the past, it was hard to look for signs of intelligent life in the universe. But now, powerful telescopes allow scientists to discover smaller planets—the size of Mars or Earth in other solar systems. These planets might have intelligent life.
Has intelligent life from space already visited Earth “Probably not,” said Shostak. “It's a long way away. However, intelligent life may contact us in other ways, such as sending radio signals. In fact, they may be trying to communicate with us now, but we don't have the right tools to receive their messages. However, this is changing. In the future, we might make contact with other life forms in our universe and help each other.”
71.What made Seth and Alexandra believe that there is intelligent life on other planets

72.Which galaxy is Earth in

73.Why is it possible to discover smaller planets in the universe now

74.How may intelligent life contact us

75.What do you think of intelligent life on other planets

Hi, I'm Danny. I had a wonderful experience last Sunday. I went to the space centre with my brother. We were lucky to have a chance to visit the place because it is not open to the public often. When we got there, we watched a video about life on the International Space Station for 20 minutes. It was amazing to see how astronauts live and work in space. Then a worker at the centre taught us how to make a model spaceship. It was difficult, but interesting. Finally, a guide took us into a special and bright room. It looks quite different from the other rooms and we could experience the feeling of being in outer space. It was really fantastic. The space centre was a great place to learn about space.

81.One possible version:
Dear young friends,
I am Li Hua, an astronaut from China. I am so glad to meet all of you here today. Let me share my daily life on the space station.
In the morning, I exercise with special machines to stay healthy. Eating in space is interesting! Our food comes in special bags, and we need to hold them tightly to avoid them floating away. Sleeping here is fun, too. I sleep in a sleeping bag tied to the wall! During work hours, I do experiments and sometimes go for spacewalks. It feels like flying! After work, I read books or talk with my family through video calls. Though I miss Earth, the view of stars outside is amazing.
My life here is busy but meaningful. I feel proud to be part of this journey.
  Thank you!
