be + 形容词 描述性格或外貌 He is active and strong.
be good at + 名词/动名词 擅长…… She is good at running and dancing.

both ... but ... 两者都……但是…… They are both kind, but they are different.

描述人物外貌 She is tall and lovely. / He has big eyes and blond hair.

表达鼓励 Everyone is special. Just be yourself.
比较人物差异 Congcong has bigger eyes. Jingjing has longer hair.
说明共同点与不同点 They are both kind and friendly, but they are different.
五、核心语法精讲
1. “What’s he/she like ” 询问人物特征
What’s he like / What’s she like 意为“他/她是什么样的人？”，like 在这里是介词，询问的是性格、外貌等整体特征，不是“喜欢什么”。回答常用 He/She is + 形容词。
例：What’s she like — She is kind and lovely.
辨析：What does she like 意为“她喜欢什么？”，询问喜好；What’s she like 意为“她是什么样的人？”，询问特征。
2. be good at + 名词或动名词
be good at 表示“擅长……”，at 是介词，后面接名词或动词-ing 形式，不能接动词原形。结构：主语 + be + good at + 名词/动名词。
例：He is good at sports. She is good at running and dancing.
易错：She is good at run. ；She is good at running.
3. 形容词比较级：-er 与 more
比较两个人或两件事时，常用“形容词比较级 + than”。短的形容词通常加 -er：strong → stronger，tall → taller，short → shorter，big → bigger，long → longer；较长的形容词通常在前面加 more：careful → more careful，popular → more popular。
原级 比较级 例句
strong / tall stronger / taller I hope I can be stronger.
short / long shorter / longer Her hair is longer than mine.
big bigger Congcong has bigger eyes.
careful / popular more careful / more popular I hope I can be more careful and more popular.
注意：① than 后面接比较对象；② big 要双写 g 再加 -er；③ 两个或两个以上音节的形容词常用 more；④ 希望自己变得更……时，可用 hope + can + be + 比较级。
4. “both ... but ...” 表达共同点与不同点
both 表示“两者都”，用于说明共同点；but 表示“但是”，引出不同点。语篇中 “They are both kind and friendly. But Congcong is more active. Jingjing is quieter.” 先说双胞胎共同的性格，再分别说明差异。
5. hope + can + 动词原形
I hope I can ... 意为“我希望我能……”。can 后面必须接动词原形，be 后面可以接形容词或比较级。例：I hope I can be taller. / I hope I can be more careful with my study.
六、口语与写作表达
口语表达：What’s your best friend like — He/She is ______ and ______.
What is he/she good at — He/She is good at ______.
I hope I can be ______. Just be yourself!
写作结构：介绍人物身份 → 描述外貌和性格 → 介绍兴趣特长 → 比较你们的不同 → 表达欣赏或鼓励。
写作模板：This is my friend ______. He/She is ______ and ______. He/She has ______. He/She is good at ______. I am ______, but he/she is ______. I hope I can be ______. I think he/she is great!
