Many people do not realize the importance of money education for teenagers. Most teenagers get pocket money from parents, but few are taught how to use it properly.
Money education does not mean telling kids only to save money. It includes three main parts: saving, spending and sharing. First, saving teaches patience. Teenagers learn that they cannot get everything at once. Second, spending needs careful thinking. Before buying, they should ask themselves: Do I really need it Third, sharing means using money to help others, such as donating money to public welfare.
Parents play the most important role in money education. Instead of simply giving or refusing money, parents can make a money plan together with their children. They can also let kids take part in simple family shopping, so they can learn the price of daily goods.

People often say “Money makes the world go round.” It is true that money plays an important role in our lives. We need money for food, clothes, education, and many other things. However, is money everything
A recent study shows that too much focus on money can make people unhappy. Those who only care about becoming rich often feel stressed and lonely. They may have nice cars and big houses, but they don’t have time for family or friends.
On the other hand, some people don’t earn much, but they live happy lives. They spend time with people they love, help others, and enjoy simple pleasures. As the saying goes, “The best things in life are free.”
This doesn’t mean we should not care about money. It means we should use it wisely. Money is a tool, not a goal. It can buy a house, but not a home. It can buy a clock, but not time. It can buy a book, but not knowledge.
So, work hard to earn money, but never let it control your life. Remember: health, love, and time are worth much more than gold.

A.We don’t need to pay for good things. B.The most valuable things cannot be bought with money.
C.Free things are always the best. D.We should not spend money.
29.What is the writer’s advice on money
A.We should save all our money. B.We should not try to earn money.
C.We should use money wisely and not let it control us. D.We should give away all our money.

1.A 2.B 3.D 4.A 5.D 6.B 7.C 8.B 9.C 10.A
结合“I got my first regular pocket money…”
根据“At first, I wanted to spend all of it on video games, but…”
根据“and the remaining 15 yuan should be”以及下文去银行开储蓄账户可知,此处指存钱,be saved表示“被储存”。
结合“Tom told me he makes money by…”
介词by后面需要接动名词doing,by doing sth.“通过做某事”,因此用helping。
from now on是固定搭配,意为“从现在起”。to、for、with均不能构成该短语。

How to Spend Pocket Money Wisely
When I was young, I spent all my pocket money on snacks and toys. I never saved any, often ran out before week ended.
Now I’ve learned to spend wisely. First, I make a budget weekly. I set aside part for savings, use some for stationery, and only spend a little on snacks. Sometimes I donate part to charities to help those in need.
I think it’s important for teens to manage money. It not only avoids waste but also teaches responsibility. I believe with good habits, pocket money can be more meaningful.
