Nowadays, more and more young people choose to learn traditional Chinese skills in their free time, such as papercutting, clay art and Chinese knot making. Now more than half of middle school students have their own mobile phones. Mobile phones bring convenience, but they also cause many problems for teenagers. A city education group did a survey among 1,200 Grade Eight students last month, and the results showed worrying information.
The survey asked students how they used mobile phones in daily life. 78% of students said they used phones to watch short videos every day, spending at least one hour on it. 45% of them played online games for over two hours on weekends. Only 16% used phones to look up learning materials or listen to English listening materials. Teachers found many bad influences from overusing mobile phones. First, students can’t focus on lessons.
