Matt Britton is the writer of the book Generation AI. In this book, he talks about how AI is changing life for teenagers (青少年) and their families. AI is growing very fast, so we don’t know what it will bring to young people in the long run.
AI is changing how teenagers learn and solve problems. It gives fast answers, but Britton says this may stop students from thinking by themselves. He thinks teenagers now should learn how to live well in a world with AI.
Some teachers worry that students may use AI to do their homework. Some people worry that AI could change how teenagers act (行动), but Britton says we don’t see that happening.
Another problem is about AI use and screen time. Parents can use apps to watch what teenagers do online and how much time they spend there. But teenagers are smart enough to get around those rules. Britton says it’s better to teach teenagers to use AI in good ways, not just stop them from using it.
In the future, we may talk to AI like Siri or Xiao Yi just like talking to a person (人). Britton thinks AI will help people’s lives, but it may cause some problems in schools and job fields unless (除非) people learn how to use it well.
