Pre-listening
Pair work. Look at the pictures and talk about how to be a greener person in your daily life.

B: We can practice green traveling. For example, we can ride
a bike or take a bus instead of driving a car.

Kangkang: Sure. To reduce means trying to produce less trash. For
example, we can reduce trash by using fewer plastic bags.
Journalist: I see. What about reusing
Kangkang: Reusing means making use of something again or in
another way such as using the water from your showers to
clean the toilet and donating old clothes to charity.
Journalist: How do we recycle
Kangkang: When we recycle, we turn used materials into new products.
We can recycle many things in our daily life, such as paper
boxes, glass bottles and so on.
Journalist: Thanks! I guess we all should follow the three Rs in our life.
Kangkang: There you go. You have got my message!

连读(Liaison)
在英语口语中，当一个单词以辅音结尾，而下一个单词以元音开头时，这两个音往往会连在一起读，使语流更自然、流畅。
重音(Stress)
英语句子中，实词（名词、动词、形容词、副词、否定词等）通常要重读，读得清晰响亮。

weak forms and rhythms
弱读：虚词（介词、冠词、连词、代词、助动词等）通常弱读，读得轻而快，元音常弱化为/ /。。
节奏：英语是一种“重音计时”的语言，重音之间的间隔时间大致相等。这就是说，朗读时要突出重音，轻音快速带过，形成强弱交替的节奏感。
练习指导：
先划出句子中的重音词(实词)。
练习“打拍子”——用手轻拍桌面，每拍对应一个重音。
将轻读词“塞”在拍子之间，快速带过。
