Our group chooses paper-making as our topic. It was improved by Cai Lun during the Eastern Han Dynasty. He made paper from cheaper materials like fishing nets and ropes. Before paper was invented, people wrote on heavy bamboos and expensive silk. Paper-making made it easier to make books and spread knowledge. I think this invention is very important because without it, learning and education would have been much more difficult.
