1. fold：v. 折叠 → adj. folding 可折叠的；folding fan 折扇
2. bamboo：n. 竹子 → 复数：bamboos

短语：be/get popular with sb. 受…的欢迎

27. 形容词、副词的最高级（三者及三者以上）
（1）用法：
① in / of 引导的介词短语表范围
例句：Eric is the tallest boy in our class.
译文：Eric是我们班最高的男孩。
② one of +adj.最高级 +可数名词复数，“最…之一”，作主语时谓语动词用单数
例句：One of the most important things for us is to keep healthy.
译文：对于我们来说保持健康是最重要的事情之一。
③ the +序数词 +adj.最高级 +名词单数，“第…的……”
例句：Yellow River is the second longest river in China.
译文：黄河是中国第二长河。
（2）形容词、副词最高级变化规则：
单音节/部分双音节：
① 一般 +est 例：short → shortest
② 以e结尾 +st 例：nice → nicest
③ 辅音字母+y结尾，改y为i+est 例：heavy → heaviest
④ 重读闭音节（辅元辅）结尾，双写末尾辅音字母+est
big→biggest；red→reddest；wet→wettest；hot→hottest；fat→fattest；thin→thinnest
多音节：most + adj./adv.（形容词最高级前加the，副词最高级前the可加可不加）
