Family is a place where life begins and love never ends. Looking through the pages of the family album (相册), we are reminded of the sweet memories that we have shared together. Each photo captured a moment in life — a smile, a hug or a special situation that we celebrate as a family. Each family album is a treasure full of memories, so it is important to our family.
One morning, my mom and I were both upset on the way to school. That was because we couldn’t find our most valuable (珍贵的) photo. We thought we might have lost it during the move last week. My mother was sad about this. I wanted to do something to make her feel better, but there was nothing I could do. I had to take my classes at school and the fourth class was art. Our teacher said it was “the artist’s choice”, so we could draw anything. I looked at the paper for a while. Then I realized that most things could be bought at stores. However, the pictures were gone forever. I suddenly knew what I could draw.
When my mom picked me up from school, I passed her the drawing of our lost photo. She was so happy and moved to tears. Mom hugged me and said, “This is not just a painting. It’s playing the role of a photo.” Hearing the words, I realized where to put this painting.
The family album is not just a collection of photos, but the reflection of love, joy and unity (团结) that we share as a family. We should always take care of it.

There is a popular saying, “Give Weifang people a string (线), and they can fly everything in the sky.” The 2026 Weifang Kite Carnival was held at the World Kite Park in Weifang, Shandong on April 18. Known as “the Kite Capital of the World”, the city welcomed 260 kite teams from home and abroad to show their creative works.
Kites have over 2,000 years of history in China. Legend (传说) has it that Lu Ban created the first kite with bamboo. After Cai Lun improved papermaking in Eastern Han (25220), people began to make paper kites called zhiyuan (纸鸢).
“Kites are not only fun but also a traditional folk art. Making a kite requires 36 steps, four main skills—framework making (扎制), mounting (裱糊), painting and flying,” A kitemaking expert, Yang Hongwei told Xinhua.
There are many different types of kites. While traditional kites used bamboo sticks for support, modern technology has created soft kites. Soft kites have no frames (框架) and come in cute and funny shapes. At this year’s carnival, some creative designs such as robot dogs and the Calabash Brothers (葫芦娃) were examples of this type.
Skilled kite makers have also made movable kites that mix science with creativity. A 105meterlong Great Wall kite amazed viewers this year. It has movable soldier figures that can walk back and forth (来回地) as the kite sways (摆动) in the wind, as if guarding this Great Wall in the sky.
Today, kitemaking is far more than a traditional art. It has become a creative way for selfexpression. For example, one cockroachshaped (蟑螂形状的) kite sends a wish for everyone to stay strong, while others carry heartfelt words like “No more wars; let’s fly kites together.” As kitemaking skills keep improving, the simple joy of flying kites stays unchanged.
18. How does the writer start the passage
A.By telling a story. B.By giving an example. C.By using a popular saying.
19. According to Para 4, the shapes of kites flying in the skies of Weifang this year include ______.

B.Kites have a history of over 3,000 years in China.
C.Kitemaking has become a creative way for people to express themselves.

This semester (学期), at Beijing New Oriental Foreign Language School in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, students and teachers have seen some changes. These changes happen because AI tools were brought in.
By using AI to come up with personalized (个性化的) exercises and exams, teachers at the school are able to help each student in different ways.
After students finish studying a unit, teachers use AI to pick different questions from an online database (数据库) that includes different materials outside school. This helps create a set of exercises for the unit, helping students strengthen (强化) their knowledge. “We don’t need to carry all the heavy exercise books anymore,” said 14yearold He Liyan.
Students complete the exercise questions on the answer sheet (答卷). Then, teachers use an AI tool for grading. The tool provides data and graphics (数据和图表) to help teachers understand both the overall (全面的) class performance and each student’s progress.
“Our teacher no longer explains all the questions one by one. Instead, she looks at the common mistakes and provides onetoone help for every one of us,” said 15yearold Wang Dinghan.
Also, depending on their performance in past exams, students can get a personalized error log (错题日志) or homework made by AI. So students can spend less time on what they already know and study what they don’t know.
“I used to have a notebook where I wrote down my mistakes so that I could study them,” said Yu Zifu, 15. “But now AI does it for me!”
22. What is the main purpose of using AI in the school
A.To make teaching easier.
B.To make students’ books lighter.
C.To help each student with their learning needs.
23. What is Paragraph 3 mainly about
A.What problems teachers had while using AI.
B.How teachers use AI to organize class activities.
C.How teachers use AI to make personalized exercises.
24. According to Wang Dinghan, what is the advantage (优点) of the AI system
A.Teachers explain problems more carefully.
B.Teachers offer onetoone help to students.
C.Students can practice as often as they want.
25. What is the main idea of the passage
A.AI helps students learn better.
B.AI shows a new learning classroom.
C.AI frees students from homework.

This May, I won first place in the Serbian division (塞尔维亚赛区) of the “Chinese Bridge” competition for high school students. When I heard my name, I was so excited that I could hardly believe it. Months of practice had finally paid off. But this story did not start with me. It started with my sister.
In 2023, she also competed in the Serbian division of the competition. After doing well, she was selected (入选) to travel to China and take part in the global final (全球总决赛) in Yunnan.
