课标分解 1.能通过听对话，选择或说出对话的主题、大意、要点等关键信息； 2.能通过阅读对话，根据语篇推断人物的心理、行为动机等，从不同角度解读语篇，推断语篇的深层含义，作出正确的价值判断; 3.能在语境中理解生词的意思，不妨碍听和阅读的理解。
语篇研读 本听说课的主题是“人与社会”，理解好奇心对于发明创造的重要性，学会保持好奇心，培养勇于探索和创新意识。本部分包含2个听力，第一个听力介绍“意外发明展”的相关信息，主要包括展览的开放时间、票价以及发明家玛丽布朗的讲座；第二个听力为讲座内容，主要讲述了成为发明家所需具备的条件。通过看、听、说活动，培养学生运用动词不定式和动名词作宾语及相关句型介绍一项发明及其发明家的策略，让学生意识到发明家需具备的优秀品质。
学情 分析 1.【生活经验】 发明创造这一话题对学生既神秘又充满吸引力，学生对科技发明相关事务有一定生活认知，在一二课时了解了一些发明创造，这为本课时中学习的“意外发明”提供背景知识，但学生对“发明创造背后的故事”缺乏了解，缺乏对发明创造的背景故事及对相关发明者的具体信息的了解。 2.【知识经验】 学生在小学了解to do/doing做宾语的用法，在第一二课时学习过名词所有格的用法也链接了本课时的知识学习，但是学生对于时态具体使用情境不够明确，不能熟练应用to do/doing做宾语的用式，学生欠缺介绍发明及发明家品质的词汇及相关句型句式。 3.【策略经验】 元认知策略: 主动复习本单元一二课时内容;与同学在小组内讨论，合作学习。 认知策略：激活并关联已知；能够抓住课内外用英语沟通和交流的机会开展学习和交流。
学习 目标 通过本课时学习，学生能够： 1.通过看、读活动，了解关于发明的背景知识，介绍发明的基本信息； 2.通过听、读活动，能获取新闻播报及演讲中的基本信息，思考成为发明家需要具备的优秀品质。 3.通过角色扮演，能用语篇中出现的核心词汇讨论一项发明及其发明者。
