Ingredients you need:
- 2 fresh tomatoes
- 3 eggs

B篇
Animals can't talk like humans, but they use body language and gestures to communicate their meaning all the time. Understanding their signals helps us build better trust with our pets and stay safe around wild animals.
Dogs are one of the most common pets people keep, and many people think a wagging tail always means a dog is happy. But that's not always true. The position of the tail and how fast it wags tell us different messages. A low, slow wag means the dog is not sure about the situation and feels a little nervous. A high, fast wag usually means the dog is excited and happy to see you. If a dog holds its tail really high and stiff, it may be ready to attack, so you should stay away.
Cats use their tails too. When a cat holds its tail straight up with a little bend at the top, it means the cat is happy and comfortable around you. If a cat tucks its tail under its body, that means it feels scared or worried.
Body language is not just for pets. When a rabbit thumps its back legs on the ground, it is warning other rabbits that danger is coming. When bees find a good place for flowers, they do a special "dance" to tell other bees where the food is.
Just like human communication, animal body language has different meanings in different situations. Learning to read these signals helps us understand the amazing world of animal communication.
6. According to the text, how do animals communicate

B. They use body language and gestures.

D. They don't need to communicate with each other.

A. The dog is excited and happy. B. The dog is ready to attack.
C. The dog feels nervous and unsure. D. The dog wants to play with you.
8. If a cat's tail is straight up with a small bend at the top, it is _______.
A. scared B. worried C. happy D. angry
9. Why does a rabbit thump its back legs on the ground
A. To warn other rabbits of danger.
B. To show it is hungry and needs food.
C. To welcome other rabbits to join it.
D. To tell other rabbits where the food is.

A. Dogs and cats are the most friendly animals to humans.
B. Animals use different body languages to communicate with each other.
C. It is easy for humans to learn animal body language.
D. All animals use the same body language to send messages.

When 15-year-old Zhao Yifan from Shanghai saw his 10-year-old cousin get tricked by an online stranger last year, he decided to do something to help other teenagers stay safe online.
Zhao's cousin added a stranger on a social media app. The stranger said he could give the boy free game skin if he told him his parents' online account information and home address. Luckily, Zhao walked in when his cousin was about to send the information. He stopped his cousin and reported the stranger to the app at once.
"This made me realize that many primary school students don't know enough about online safety," Zhao said. "Lots of them share their personal information easily with strangers online, which can bring big danger to their families."
Later, Zhao joined a city-wide volunteer team for teenagers' online safety. The team has more than 50 volunteer students from 12 middle schools in Shanghai. They create short videos and share them on social media to teach other students basic online safety skills: never tell your password to anyone, don't click on unknown links, don't meet online strangers alone, and always ask parents for help when you meet something strange online.

When we share cooking instructions with friends from different cultures, clear communication is the key to a good result. Here is a recipe shared by Lin Mei, a Chinese student studying in Canada, for her Canadian classmates to make traditional Chinese scrambled eggs with tomatoes:
Ingredients you need:
- 2 fresh tomatoes
- 3 eggs
- 2 spoons of cooking oil
- 1 small spoon of salt
- 1 spoon of sugar
Step-by-step instructions:
1. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. Put them in a clean bowl and set them aside.
2. Break the three eggs into another bowl. Add a half spoon of salt and mix them well with chopsticks.
3. Turn on the stove and heat the cooking oil in a pan. Wait one minute for the oil to get hot.
4. Pour the mixed eggs into the pan. Wait 30 seconds and then stir the eggs gently until they are fully cooked. Take the eggs out of the pan and put them back in the bowl.
5. Add a little more oil to the pan, then put the tomato pieces in. Cook for three minutes, then add the cooked eggs back to the pan.
6. Add the remaining salt and sugar, stir everything together for one minute, then turn off the stove and serve.

Zhao's cousin added a stranger on a social media app. The stranger said he could give the boy free game skin if he told him his parents' online account information and home address. My Tips for Safe Online Communication
