Tune: Spring in a Pleasure Garden — Changsha was written by Chairman Mao Zedong in 1925. The poem describes the beautiful autumn in Changsha and talks about the writer's youth. It also shows his care for the country and his strong wish to change China.
My favourite lines are, “When, students in the flower of our age, our spirit bright was at its height…” I like them because they show the energy, courage and strong sense of responsibility of young people. They make me think we should care about our country and work hard for it.
Chairman Mao shows in the poem that young people are energetic, brave and ready to take responsibility for the future of the country. I think it is a meaningful and inspiring poem.
