Step 2 Work Work on 1a-1b 1.Ask students to look at the title of the text and answer the two questions in 1a. 2.Let students skim the article quickly and find out who the seed scientist is and what he did. 3.Check answers and teach students the reading skill of skimming for main ideas. 学生默读语篇，运用略读获取主旨、扫读定位细节（人物、时间、变化）；完成读后任务（填空 / 问答 / 思维导图），与同伴交流理解，尝试用本课语言复述。 对应课本1a-1b、1a活动：以读促思，落实“整体理解—细节提取—策略运用”的阅读训练，培养语篇意识与信息整合能力；在读后输出中迁移运用目标语言，实现读写结合。
Step 3 Work Work on 1c 1.Ask students to read the text carefully and match each paragraph with its topic. 2.Check answers and analyze the writing order of the passage. 3.Teach students to sort out the structure of person introduction articles. 学生独立思考所给问题或选项的危害 / 特征，按严重程度或逻辑排序并准备理由；主动分享个人判断，倾听他人不同观点，在比较中深化理解。 对应课本1c活动：通过个人判断与理由表达激活背景知识与批判性思维；将语言运用融入真实议题，承上启下，为后续活动做铺垫。
Step 4 Work Work on 1d 1.Ask students to complete the timeline of Zhong Yang’s life according to the text. 2.Check answers，and invite individual students to retell his life experience briefly. 3.Supplement background knowledge to help students understand his deeds. 学生代表上台汇报讨论结果或展示作品，用目标语言清晰表达观点；台下同学认真倾听，在教师引导下补充、质疑或点评，形成多向互动。 对应课本1d活动：搭建成果展示与交流平台，锻炼清晰表达与逻辑思维；以多向互动（补充、质疑、点评）深化理解，落实以评促学。
Step 5 Work Work on 1e-1f 1.Teach students the reading strategy：guessing words from context.Explain the underlined difficult words and sentences. 2.Ask students to discuss the two questions in pairs，and talk about what they can learn from Zhong Yang. 3.Invite some pairs to share their opinions and make simple comments. 学生4人一组，围绕“变化及其原因 / 问题如何解决”交换看法，运用本课目标语言与重点句型组织语言；组内互相纠正、补充，形成小组共识；代表在全班展示，其他同学倾听、评价。 对应课本1e-1f活动：以任务型小组合作推动语言从输入走向输出，在协商讨论中发展口语交际与批判性思维；体现“学生主体、合作探究”的课堂文化，培养倾听、互补与表达能力。
