Personal Profiles
A personal profile is a short description or collection of information that gives a reader some important, essential, and interesting information about another person. They act as an introduction to give a quick idea about who that person is. They can be used when introducing oneself to a new person or group, or when applying for a job. They give such information as name, age, nationality, qualifications and experience, favourite things, and hobbies.
My name is Zhao Tianming. I’m 12 years old. I’m from Hangzhou, China. I live with my father and mother. My favourite food is sweet and sour fish. My favourite sport is table tennis. I play three times a week. I also love drawing. I like to draw animals.
Take turns to pick out one classmate’s profile. Introduce the person to the class, but do not say the name. The class will guess who he or she is.
