表示三者或三者以上（人或事物）的比较，其中有一个在某一方面超过其他几个，后面可用带有of、in、among的短语等来说明比较的范围。形容词最高级的前面一般要加定冠词the,副词最高级前的the可以省略。

三、形容词和副词的最高级的构成（不规则变化）
原级 最高级
good (形容词) / well (形容词/副词) best
bad (形容词) / badly (副词) worst
many (形容词) / much (形容词/副词) most

far (形容词/副词) farthest/furthest
四、最高级的常用句型结构
（1）主语 + be + the + 形容词最高级 +in/of 短语 意为 “…… 是…… 中最…… 的”。
Linda is the shortest of all the girls.琳达是所有女孩里面个子最矮的。
（2）主语 + 实义动词 (+the) + 副词最高级 + in/of 短语 意为 “…… 是…… 中最…… 的”。
She draws (the) best in our class.她是我们班画画最好的。
注意：在表示最高级的句子中，一般含有表示比较范围的 in 或 of。in 后一般接表示单位或场所的名词；of 后一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词。

最高级的常用句型结构
（3）主语 + be + one of the + 形容词最高级 + 可数名词复数 + in/of 短语 意为 “…… 是…… 中最…… 的…… 之一”。
Shanghai is one of the busiest cities in China.上海是中国最繁忙的城市之一。
（4）疑问词 (组)+ be + the + 形容词最高级, A, B or C 用于三者的比较。
Which animal is the strongest, the dog, the cat or the tiger 狗、猫和老虎，哪一种动物最强壮？
最高级的常用句型结构
（5）疑问词 (组)+ 助动词 + 主语 + 动词原形 (+the) 最高级, A, B or C
Which sport do you like (the) best, swimming, running or skating 游泳、跑步、滑冰，你最喜欢哪一项运动？
（6）the + 序数词 + 形容词最高级 + 名词 意为 “第几最…… 的……”。
The Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world.长江是世界第三长河。
比较级表最高级
（1） 比较级 + than any other + 可数名词单数 意为 “比其他任何一个…… 都……”，强调在同一范围内作比较。
Shanghai is bigger than any other city in East China.= Shanghai is the biggest city in East China.上海是华东地区最大的城市。（说明：上海属于华东，需要和华东其他城市对比）
（2） 比较级 + than any + 可数名词单数 意为 “比任何…… 都……”，强调不在同一范围内作比较。
Shanghai is bigger than any city in Yunnan.上海比云南任何一座城市都大。（说明：上海不在云南，和云南所有城市对比）
