Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty 1. Key points: Master new words and phrases about teenage problems. 2. Difficult points: Describe teenage problems freely in oral English. III. Teaching procedures Step1 Lead in 1. Show the unit slogan: It takes courage to grow up. 2. Free talk: Ask students “Do you have any problems in your daily life ” Lead in the topic teenage problems. Step2 While-class Task1 Part A Listening 1. Students read the six sentences first and predict the missing words. 2. Play the audio. Students listen and complete the blanks. 3. Check answers together. Explain key phrases: drive sb mad, feel lonely. Task2 Part B Dialogue 1. Read the dialogue together. Explain key expressions: in low spirits, stay up late, lead to, manage your time. 2. Ask students to read in pairs. 3. Analyse the model: talk about problems and give advice. Task3 Part C Group discussion 1. Question: Do you know any other teenage problems Give one example and describe it. 2. Work in pairs. Share their own problems. 3. Invite several students to share in class. 教学札记： Students are interested in talking about teenage problems. Most can finish listening tasks. Some students are poor at using new phrases in oral practice. More pair work is needed.
