一、教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up（话题导入·1a）（3 min）
T: Good morning! What are your favourite places in your school
Ss: The dining hall. / The sports field. / The library…
T: Today we'll read Peter's email about his new school. Let's see his favourite places.
1a 谈论最喜欢的校园场所
【过渡语】以自由谈论激活校园话题，为阅读 Peter 的邮件做铺垫。
【知识点】热身复现学校场所词汇与 There be 句型。
Step 2 Pre-reading（读前·1b 略读预测）（5 min）
1b 略读选问题
T: Skim Peter's reply to Flora's email. Which question did Flora probably ask A. What's your new school like B. Where's your new school C. How is your new school different from your old one

T: Right — the email describes the school, so Flora asked A.

T: What kind of passage is it It's an e-mail — a kind of practical writing. Look at its parts: greeting, body, closing and the names.

Step 6 探究·导学（raise 多义）（5 min）
T: Every Monday we raise the flag there. Raise has three meanings: 举起；提高（嗓门）；募捐。If you know the answer, please raise up your hands.
