完成 Main idea 与三条 Detail 的图表。
【知识点】 美国手语用形象的方式教字母：A 像苹果、B 像书桌、C 像猫；因此该语篇的主旨是“听障儿童如何用手语表示字母”，三条细节分别是三个字母的形象比喻。
Main idea: sign。Detail: cat。要点：主旨回答“如何学”，细节为三个字母各自的形象比喻。

Making inferences：明确推断生词含义的两条途径。
【知识点】 推断生词含义有两条途径：一是借助生词周围的上下文线索，二是借助前缀与后缀；操作时先划出生词，再圈出线索，最后推断词义。
（十三）巩固练习：模仿母语者语篇
【过渡语】再来练一篇。
Read the text. Circle the text clue for each word in the table and explain its meaning by using another word or phrase from the text.
【提示框】 圈画线索时优先找生词前后的同义或解释性表达，它们往往就是最有效的线索。

用文中的词或短语解释 imitate、comprehend 与 imitation method。
【知识点】 imitate 由线索 it's best to copy the native speakers 推断出意为 copy；comprehend 由 you'll understand what they say better 推断出意为 understand；imitation method 意为 a way of learning by copying。
imitate = copy；comprehend = understand；imitation method = a way of learning by copying。要点：解释须使用文中出现的词或短语。
