（一）Step 1 热身与采访预测
Emma 和 Ella 拿了音乐节一等奖，校报记者 Han Lin 来采访了。
Revision：What is the difference between Emma and Ella —Emma: is taller, sings louder；Ella: has longer hair, dances better。
Pre-listening：Emma and Ella won the first prize in the school music festival! Now imagine you are the school reporter. What would you like to say —congratulations 祝贺 / their performance 她们的表演 / how they feel about winning the first prize 获奖感受 / how they feel about the festival 对音乐节的看法。
思路点拨：采访开头常用 Congratulations on...！引出话题。
（二）Step 2 2a 听采访填空
2a Han Lin is interviewing Emma and Ella for the school newspaper. Listen to their conversation and fill in the blanks.（课本 p.23）
Han Lin: Congratulations on winning the prize at the school music festival! The twins: Thank you!
Han Lin: You attended the festival last year and this year. How is this year different
Ella: There are more students and more ①__________ this year. I think it is more ②_________ than last year.
Han Lin: As twins, you look very similar. How are you different
Emma: I'm a little ③_________ than Ella. And she is funnier than me.

（三）Step 3 2b 异同梳理
2b Read the conversation and answer the questions.（课本 p.24）
1. What does Ella think of the festival —There are more students and more activities this year, and it is more colourful than last year.
2. What do Emma and Ella have in common（有共同之处） —They look similar, like singing and work hard.
3. How are they different —①Emma is quieter than Ella. Ella is funnier than Emma. ②Emma gets up earlier than Ella. ③Ella loves playing sport, and Emma likes reading.
4. What do you think makes Emma and Ella a great team —They're different but can work well together.（答案不唯一，仅供参考）

（四）Step 4 2c 语调跟读与角色扮演

（五）Step 5 2d 比较词汇库
2d How can we make a comparison Add words to each aspect.（课本 p.24）
Appearance 外貌：Height 高度—tall/short；Build 体型—fat/thin/strong/weak；Age—old/young；Face—round face/square face/small eyes/big eyes；Hair—long/short/straight/curly, black/yellow/red

（六）Step 6 2e 结对比较
2e Compare yourself with a partner using your ideas from 2d. Then answer the questions below.（课本 p.24）三问：How are you different from each other / What do you have in common / What can you learn from each other
对话范例——A: I'm taller than you. B: That's true. I am a little shorter than you, but I can run faster than you. A: Yes. I'm as hard-working as you, but you read more than me.
范例——A: Hi, Jim. I am stronger than you. And I swim faster than you. B: That's true. I am thinner than you, but I work harder than you. A: Yes. I am as outgoing as you, but you are friendlier than me.
答句整理：I am stronger than Jim. And I swim faster than him. Jim is thinner and friendlier than me. And he works harder than me. We are both outgoing. Jim should exercise more like me. And I should work harder like him.

思路点拨：比较至少五处：两处差异用比较级，一处共同点用 as...as 或 both。
（七）Step 7 语言点：congratulations / besides / pleasure
1. Congratulations on winning the prize at the school music festival! 祝贺（你们）在学校音乐节上获奖！congratulation 表示“祝贺”，可单独使用，或用于 congratulations to sb 和 congratulations on sth 等句式。例：Congratulations. You passed your driving test. / Congratulations to you! / Congratulations on your success!
2. Besides singing, how do you both spend your spare time besides 是介词，表示“除了”，后接名词或动词-ing 形式。辨析：①besides 表示“除了，还包括”——Besides Ella and Emma, many other students attended the school music festival. ②except 表示“除了，不包括”——Everyone passed the maths exam, except Tom. ③apart from 两者皆可——Apart from pizza, they ordered pasta.（包括）/ Apart from the cost, the dress is perfect.（不包括）
3. Our pleasure! 不客气！It's a/one's pleasure. 不客气（对别人感谢的礼貌回答）；With pleasure. 乐意效劳（客气地接受或同意）。—Could you help me look after my cat while I'm away —With pleasure.

思路点拨：判断 besides/except：把该项“加进去”算不算——算就用 besides，不算就用 except。

易错提醒
注意：besides 后接动词要用 -ing 形式（Besides singing...）；回答“能否帮忙”的请求用 With pleasure，回答“谢谢”用 It's a pleasure / You're welcome。
答题技巧
①②看 more 提示：more activities（可数复数）、more colourful（多音节）；③a little 修饰比较级 quieter。
in common 找共同点：外貌相似（look similar）、都爱唱歌、都努力。
比较前先选“方面”再选“形容词/副词”：外貌性格用 be+adj.比较级，习惯特长用 v.+adv.比较级。
第 2 题易错选 D：quiet 是单音节词，比较级为 quieter 不加 more。
语言点归纳
承认差异：That's true. / 让步转折：...but... / 同级比较：I'm as hard-working as you.；
互相学习句式：... should ... like ...（Jim should exercise more like me.）
congratulations to sb. / congratulations on sth. 祝贺某人/某事；
