（二）Step 2 1b 主旨与文体

（三）Step 3 精读：逐段突破
Para.1：What does the sentence “Cooking is love made visible” mean —It means cooking shows love in a way you can see. When you cook for someone, your care and love become something real, like a meal. So cooking is a visible form (可视的形式) of love.
Para.2 排序：Read Para. 2 and put these events in the correct order. (A) The smell of cinnamon filled the room. (B) The weather got colder. (C) The author remembers her grandmother's pie. (D) The grandmother made pumpkin pie.——答案：B→D→A→C

（四）Step 4 1c 细节五问
1c Read again and answer the questions.（课本 p.47）

（五）Step 5 1d-1f 食谱排序与概要
1d Read the recipe and put the pictures in the correct order.（课本 p.47）南瓜派食谱五步：First, mix the eggs. Then, add the sugar, cinnamon, salt, pumpkin, and cream. Next, pour the mixture into the pie crust. After that, place the pie in the oven and cook for 40 to 50 minutes. Finally, let the pie cool for at least an hour before serving.——图片排序答案：B→D→C→A→E
1e Complete the summary of the text.（课本 p.47）I love to cook because it is a good way to share love with others. Food ①________ people and creates ②_________. （六）Step 6 语言点：made visible / every time / along with / the secret to
1. Cooking is love made visible. made visible 为过去分词短语作后置定语，修饰 love，made 是 make 的过去分词，表被动：I love the sweater made of wool. / I borrowed a book written by Mark Twain from the library.
2. That is what my grandmother always told me. “what my grandmother always told me”为表语从句：This book is how he succeeded. / Her dream is that she can become a teacher.
3. Every time I sit at the table, after cooking for my family, we create memories. every time 作连词，引导时间状语从句，表示“每当……时”：Every time I cook, I think of my mum's advice.
4. The smells and the food's taste, along with our conversations, connect us to each other. along with sb/sth 意为“除……以外（还）；与……同样地”，相当于 together with。就远原则：谓语动词单复数与前面主语保持一致——The teacher along with the students is preparing for the event.
5. I still remember the days when the smell of cinnamon filled the room with sweetness. ①when 引导定语从句修饰 days；②fill ... with ... （使）充满，同义 be full of ...：fill...with... 侧重“填充”的动作，be full of... 侧重“充满”的状态——The waiting hall is full of travelers. = The waiting hall is filled with travelers.
6. Grandmother taught me the secret to cooking: Cook with love. ①teach sb sth 双宾语结构，teach sb (how) to do sth；②the secret to doing sth 做成某事的秘诀，to 是介词，后接名词或动词-ing：What's the key to playing the piano / I can master the trick to writing.
思路点拨：判断 to 是介词还是不定式：the secret/key/trick/answer to 中 to 一律接名词或 doing。

易错提醒
注意：along with 就远原则——谓语跟最远的主语一致（The teacher along with the students is...）；the secret to 中 to 是介词，后接 doing 不接原形。
注意：at least 至少——least 是 little 的最高级；according to 后接名词（a study），不接句子。
答题技巧
主旨①涵盖“食物—记忆—爱”三个关键词；②只讲文化学习，③只讲厨房记忆，都偏窄。
排序抓时间链：天冷（B）→做派（D）→肉桂香满屋（A）→如今仍会想起（C）。
第 5 题开放题：从“爱学各国菜”推出 open-minded，从“耐心教我”推出 patient。
1e 第③空 whenever I ______ cinnamon——闻到用 smell；第⑥空 make friends 交朋友是固定搭配。
