（一）Step 1 3a 观察归纳 if 条件状语从句
3a Read the sentences. Find more sentences with if-clauses in Section A.（课本 p.75）
Grammar Focus 五句：If you want to solve the problem, a face-to-face talk usually works the best. / Texting can make things worse if you're not careful with your words. / If the rehearsal ends at 7:00 p.m., I'll pick you up at 7:15 p.m. / If you stay calm and say sorry, it will help. / If I go there, I will try all the delicious local food.
时态观察：从句全部是一般现在时（含情态动词的一般现在时）；主句是一般将来时或含情态动词/祈使句。

思路点拨：判断口诀：句子里有 if+一般现在时，八成是条件状语从句。
（二）Step 2 if 条件状语从句：位置与时态
概述：在复合句中作条件状语的句子叫条件状语从句，常用 if 来引导。
位置：既可放在主句前，也可放在主句后。位于主句前要用逗号与主句隔开；位于主句后其前不必用逗号。If you want to keep fit, you should exercise at least thirty minutes a day. / The children won't pay attention to their mistakes if the teachers don't tell them.
时态（高频考点）：当主句为下列情形之一时，条件状语从句要用一般现在时表达将来的含义（主将从现）——
①主句是一般将来时：If it's sunny tomorrow, they will go camping.（从句一般现在时+主句一般将来时）
②主句是含有情态动词 may, might, can, must, should 等的句子：If we start right away, we can finish the work on time.
③主句是祈使句：Work hard if you want to pass the exam.（祈使句+一般现在时从句）

思路点拨：if 从句位置口诀：前有逗号，后无逗号。
（三）Step 3 句型转换：祈使句+and/or 与 without/with
转换一：借助“祈使句+and/or+句子（一般将来时）”——and 表顺承“那么，就”；or 表转折“否则”。If you get up early, you'll catch the school bus. = Get up early, and you'll catch the school bus. = Get up early, or you won't catch the school bus.
转换二：借助 without 或 with 改写——If there is no sunshine, plants will die. = Plants will die without sunshine. / If you help me, I'll get better grades. = With your help, I'll get better grades.

思路点拨：反推：without...=if there is no...；with...=if ...（有）。
（四）Step 4 Let's practise 与 3b 匹配
一、用所给内容的适当形式填空：1. Don't play football outside if it ______ (rain) this afternoon.→rains　2. If you don't listen carefully, you ____________ (not know) the answer.→won't know　3. Amy is so confident. 思路点拨：3b 匹配先看逻辑：老人听不清→写下来给他看；电话联系不上→发短信。
（五）Step 5 3c 两则留言填空与情境讨论
3c Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets. Then discuss what the situations are and whom the information is for.（课本 p.75）
留言一（语音留言）：... If things ______ (go) well, we ______ (see) all those old faces again. Just think how great it will be! If you think you can come, _____ (drop) me a line and I ________ (give) you all the details about the reunion. But promise me you'll think about it seriously.→go；will see；drop；will give。情境：围绕聚会（reunion）相关的假设交流；对象：被邀请参加聚会的人。
留言二：Hey, it's me. I wanted to talk to you about the training plan for our team. The new season is coming, so it's time to make a plan for our training. 语言点：reach ①（及物动词）联系，与……取得联系——If you need help, you can reach me anytime. ②到达=arrived at/got to——We all reached the top of the mountain except Tim. ③伸手——She reached inside her bag for a wallet.；It's time (for sb) to do sth 到（某人）做某事的时间了——It's time for you to get up. 拓展：It's time for (doing) sth. 到（做）某事的时间了。

思路点拨：留言语体：开头 Hey, it's me. 结尾 Talk to you soon!——非正式口语体，与书信体区分。
（六）Step 6 随堂检测
当堂完成，答案见各题下方。

易错提醒
注意：从句里主语是三单时动词加 s——If the rehearsal ends at 7:00 p.m., ...；否定用 don't/doesn't。
注意：without 后接名词/doing（without sunshine / without enough exercise），with 后接名词（with your help）。
注意：have difficulty in hearing 听力有困难——difficulty in doing sth，in 可省略；join sb for sth 与某人一起做某事。
注意：drop me a line 给我写几句信（固定搭配，line 指“便条”）——不要译成“给我一根线”。
注意：第 2 题从句主语 you 用 are 不是 is；主句 the teacher 是三单 will be 不变形。
答题技巧
主将从现判断：主句有 will/can/must 或是祈使句→从句用一般现在时。
and/or 记忆：and 顺承结果好，or 反着说坏结果——两句意思等价。
中考第 3 题双 if：I don't know if...（是否，宾语从句）用 will；If she...（条件）用 goes——“是否 if”和“条件 if”要分清。
两则留言各三处 if 句：动词填空先判断主从句——从句现在时、主句 will 或祈使句原形。
第 5 题是“双 if”经典题：第一空是不知道“是否会下雪”（宾语从句），第二空才是条件句。
语言点归纳
主将从现三情形：主句 will / 主句含 can,may,must,should / 主句是祈使句；
转换：祈使句+and/or+将来时句子；without+名词=if...not...，with+名词=if...；
双 if 辨析：know/don't know if 接将来时（是否）；条件 if 接一般现在时。
