Think：How do they start the conversation —They use “Hello, ...” to start their conversation. Do you know any other ways to start a conversation

思路点拨：本课主线：怎么打招呼→怎么开启对话→怎么了解彼此——层层递进交朋友。
（二）Step 2 1a 勾选开启对话的表达
1a Tick the expressions that start a conversation.（课本 p.4）备选表达：Hello! / How are you / What's your name / Good morning. / Nice to meet you. / Goodbye.
判断依据：An expression that ends（结束）a conversation 不能勾——Goodbye. 是结束对话时说的。

【1a】勾选：Hello! / How are you / What's your name / Good morning. / Nice to meet you.；不勾：Goodbye.（它是结束对话的表达）
思路点拨：开启对话的五句话按“问候→寒暄→问名→致意”顺序排列，正好是一段完整对话的骨架。
（三）Step 3 1b 精读两段对话：他们如何开启对话
1b Read the two conversations. Find out how people start their conversations.（课本 p.4）
Conversation 1：Teng Fei: Good morning. I'm Teng Fei. What's your name / Emma: Good morning. My name is Emma Miller. / Teng Fei: How do you spell your name / Emma: E-M-M-A, Emma. M-I-L-L-E-R, Miller. You can call me Emma. / Teng Fei: Nice to meet you, Emma. / Emma: Nice to meet you too, Teng Fei.
Conversation 2：Helen: Hello, Wang Yaming! How are you / Yaming: Hi, Helen. I'm fine, thank you. How are you / Helen: I'm great, thanks. / Yaming: Oh, that's the bell. Let's go to class. / Helen: Goodbye! / Yaming: Bye!
Think：Do they know each other before the conversations —Conversation 1：两人是 strangers（陌生人），先 ask about names 询问姓名；Conversation 2：两人是 friends（朋友），直接 call the names 喊名字。

思路点拨：对话结构对比：C1 是“陌生人三步走”（问候→问名→致意），C2 是“朋友熟络版”（寒暄→铃响→道别）。
（四）Step 4 1c 选应答语补全句子
1c Read the conversations in 1b again. Fill in the blanks with the correct responses in the box.（课本 p.5）选项：My name is Emma Miller. / E-M-M-A, Emma. M-I-L-L-E-R, Miller. / I'm fine, thank you. / Nice to meet you too.
1. A: How are you 　B: I'm fine, thank you.　2. A: What's your name 　B: My name is Emma Miller.　3. A: Nice to meet you.　B: Nice to meet you too.　4. A: How do you spell your name 　B: E-M-M-A, Emma. M-I-L-L-E-R, Miller.
分类拓展：这些表达哪些 friends 都用、哪些 strangers 用、哪些 both（两者）都用？——问候语 both；问名与拼写多用于 strangers 初次相识。
思路点拨：1c 的四个答语全部来自 1b 对话原文——先回读 1b 再填空，不用新词。
（五）Step 5 1d 补全对话并角色扮演
1d Complete the conversations. Then role-play them with a partner.（课本 p.5）
Conversation 1：A: Good morning! I'm Liu Xin. What's your name B: Good morning! My name is Mary Smith. A: How do you spell your name B: M-A-R-Y, Mary. S-M-I-T-H, Smith. You can call me Mary. A: Nice to meet you, Mary. B: Nice to meet you too, Liu Xin.
Conversation 2：A: Hello, Zhao Lin! How are you B: Hi, Peter. I'm fine / great / OK, thank you. And you A: I'm fine / great, thanks. Oh, it's time for class. B: Goodbye! A: Goodbye / Bye.
小组活动（4 人组）：Student 1 act as Emma / Student 2 act as Teng Fei / Student 3 act as Helen / Student 4 act as Yaming。评分标准：①声音洪亮，对话流利，内容正确；②有肢体语言和感情；③脱离课本。
【1d】对话一：Liu Xin / Good morning / Mary Smith / M-A-R-Y, Mary. S-M-I-T-H, Smith / Mary / Mary / Nice to meet you too, Liu Xin　对话二：Zhao Lin / Peter / fine（或 great、OK）, thank you / I'm fine（或 great）, thanks / Goodbye（或 Bye）
思路点拨：表演三步：先同桌读熟→再脱稿演→最后加表情手势——按评分标准互评。
（六）Step 6 语言点与随堂检测
语言点——①start v. 开始：start 后可接名词表示开始某事（I start work at nine. 我每天九点开始工作）；start to do sth 表示开始做某事（We start to have a party at ten. 我们十点开始派对）。②conversation n. 对话，交谈：一般为可数名词，have a conversation with sb. 表示和某人有一次对话（I have a conversation with her. 我和她有次交谈）。③bell n. 铃；铃声：可以表示各种铃声，如电话铃声、学校铃声、车的铃声等；表示铃声响起可以用动词 ring——The bell is ringing! 打铃了！= That's the bell.

易错提醒
注意：Goodbye / Bye 是结束对话的表达，不能用来开启对话——把 Goodbye. 勾进“开启对话”是本课最典型的误答。
注意：You can call me Emma. 你可以叫我 Emma——call 后直接加名字，不加 to；English names 常用昵称相称。
注意：Nice to meet you. 的答语必须带 too——Nice to meet you too.；漏掉 too 是高频误答。
注意：And you = How are you ——反问对方时用 And you 简短自然，不要重复整句。
注意：第 1 题问身体好吗，习惯答 fine，不说 good——I'm fine, thank you. 是固定搭配。
答题技巧
想场景：说这句话时对话还没开始还是已经结束？——还没开始的都能开启对话。
开启对话句汇总：陌生人——Good morning. I'm ... What's your name ；朋友——Hello, ...! How are you
应答语“问什么答什么”：问好答好（fine）、问名报名（name）、问拼写拼字母（E-M-M-A）。
补对话先填“名字”再填“应答”：名字定了称呼就不乱；拼写回答照 My name is 后的姓名逐字母拼。
第 4-8 题补问句或答语：先看对方说的什么——答语要么原句奉还，要么按问句性质回应。
语言点归纳
How do you spell your name 询问拼写——回答逐字母大写加分隔：E-M-M-A, Emma.；
My name is ... = I'm ... 自我介绍两句等价；
strangers（陌生人）先问姓名再问候，friends（朋友）直接喊名+How are you 。
start+名词=开始某事；start to do sth=开始做某事；
have a conversation with sb 和某人交谈（conversation 可数）；
That's the bell.=The bell is ringing. 打铃了（ring 表铃声响起）；
call me + 名字：叫我……（call 后直接加名字）。
